Chapter 20: Halloween

October looked so beautiful with all the trees changing colors. Autumn is simply the most beautiful season ever. And Halloween was just around the corner. Now I don't like Halloween, but Luke, loves it.

I finished all my classes and had a free week, cause they were going to fumigate the school. I entered the house and found them watching Pokémon.

"I didn't know you liked Pokémon." I said as I sat next to him and kissed his cheek and then Violet's head.

"Best anime ever." He replied.

I chuckled. "I agree and looks like our daughter, loves it too."

"She does, when I put some baby show, she cries. Then one day, I decided to put Pokémon and bam, she was a happy baby." He said as he hugged her, she giggled.

I giggled too. "I guess we can dress her up as a Pokémon."

"I like that idea, she should go as the Pokémon from the latest series, what was the name... oh yeah, Grookey."

"Yeah, that's an adorable Pokémon." I said as I lightly pinched her cheeks. "Do you want to dress up as Grookey?"

She smiled and then started to clap.

"Well, we have a yes." He said. "Now shh, a really good part is coming."

I chuckled.

"Wake up!"

I screamed like crazy when I saw a tall figure wearing a Scream mask. Laughter was all that was heard afterwards.

"Luke, you idiot!" I huffed.

He removed the mask and got on top of me. "Happy Halloween." He kissed me.

"Ughh, how can you like this holiday?"

"It's fun." He pecked my lips. "Now how about, I make it up to you."

Well, he certainly make it up to me. Good thing, is only 7 am. Violet usually wakes up at, 9am so we got time.

Halloween arrived and Violet was already in her costume. She looked so adorable.

"Who is the cutest Pokémon ever." I said as I picked her up and kissed her cheeks.

She giggled as she squished my cheeks.

"I'm guessing your daddy is also excited that he changed you, and it's not even 10 am."

Luke just laughed. "I couldn't wait to see her in her costume. Plus she looks adorable."

I chuckled. "Alright, let's go have breakfast."

"We're having lunch at my parents house, don't eat too much, or you won't be hungry by then." Luke added.

"Don't worry, I'll eat light. Im pretty sure you will do something to scare me and I'll end up throwing up." I rolled my eyes at him.

He pulled me into a kiss. "It's only for Halloween. Gotta take advantage."

"Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada." Violet said as she extended her hands for Luke to grab her.

"Did she just-"

"Yeah," I smiled.

Violet is almost 8 months, and she never once said the word Dada, til now. It was always Mama. This makes me so happy.

"I'm your Dada." He hugged her.

"Yeah you are, and the best." I kissed his cheek. "We love you, Luke."

"And I love you both," he smiled at us. "I never knew I could be this happy, til you both enter my life."

I smiled back at him as Violet, gave him raspberries on his cheek.

I was sitting in the living-room at his parents house cause I needed to rest after a big buffet. Violet, was with her grandparents, so I had a little break time. Out-of nowhere, lights went off and I heard a chainsaw. Okay, don't panic, someone must be working. I got off the couch and as I was about to leave, someone grabbed me and put a chainsaw in front of me.

I let out the biggest most bloody scream in the world. "Let me go!"

Laughter was all I heard. Everyone enter the living-room as they kept laughing. I turned around and took off the scream mask. "Luke!" I huffed.

"Happy Halloween." He grinned. "The chainsaw is fake, before you go off on me."

I glared at him, "Well here is something more scarier than yours. No sex for two weeks." I smirked.

"Exactly what every father wants to hear." Dad said as he rubbed his temple, Marissa chuckled.

"A scare to remember." Matt added.

"A scare to remember." Valerie mimicked him. "Shouldn't you be with your wife?"

"I would, but she doesn't exactly likes Halloween. Plus she went to spend the day with her parents since they're going on a trip tomorrow." Matt replied.

"Sucks that your wife doesn't like Halloween. Well, see you all later, I have places to go and hot guys to meet." With that said, she left the house.

"Matt, is there something you want to tell us?" Marissa asked him.

He sighed heavily. "Let's just say. Once upon a time, Valerie and I had a thing. While I wanted to give her everything, she wanted this to be a non string relationship. So we ended whatever we had and then I met my wife."

"I thought you were a player when I first met you." I said.

"I kinda was, and at first yeah, our thing was for fun. But at one point I did want us to be together have a real relationship." He checked his phone and told us he had to take the call and went to the yard.

"Something a father wants to hear." Mr Carter said.

"Join the club." Dad added as they walked to the backyard.

"Talk about drama." Mrs Carter said and Marissa sighed. They joined their husband's.

"Definitely a Halloween to remember." I said.

Luke hugged me from behind and place his chin on the crook of my neck. "Are you really going to punish me for two weeks?"

"I should, but I won't. Instead, you'll work from the house for two weeks, and change Violet's diapers." I pecked his lips.

"I can't just stop going to the office."

"But you're the CEO, you own the company. Take it as, for scaring the hell out of me and for all the times, I suffer thanks to you." I smiled as I pinched his cheeks. "And also cook breakfast, lunch and dinner."

"We're getting out of hands here." He gave me a serious look.

"No Luke, we're not! You have any idea the pain you put me through! I thought I was over it, but I'm not!" I screamed hysterically.

Luke had no words. He was pale. He didn't know if I was going to cry, or punch him. Well...

"What-"

"Happy Halloween." I smirked.

He was astonished.

Everyone came back inside, except Valerie. She was who knows where.

"Son, she got you good."

I laughed. "And I didn't even need a costume to scare you for life."

"Mommy got your daddy good." I tickled Violet, she giggled.

"Alright, let's go back and leave these crazy people alone." Matt said and they all went back to the yard.

"For a moment, I thought you were going to throw a chair at me." He chuckled. "You got me good and scare the hell out of me."

I wrapped my arms around his neck and then kissed him. "I love you, and just FYI, I am over your jerk phase." I caressed his face. "You're mine."

"And you're mine." He kissed my forehead.
