CHAPTER 2- FRESHERS PARTY

ATHARV'S POV

The sight of that boy holding my Kiana's wrist burned me up I couldn't control myself and gave him a tight punch

"How dare you touch her" I gave him another punch

I could feel the eyes of all the students on us but I don't care. I punched him again and again until his nose started bleeding

I could hear Shanya pleading me to stop beating him but now all I could see was red

"Atharv please stop it" cried Kiana

That's it I stopped hitting him I looked at her to see her crying ,my heart pierced at the sight of it.

Argh!! I made her cry. I was feeling very guilty. It looks like she is scared of me now.

Argh!! I should have controlled my anger.

I gave a last glance at Kiana and stormed out of the canteen not before giving that useless boy another warning to stay away from her.

Right now I was playing basketball all alone as this was the only way I could control my anger. Whenever I thought of that incident my entire body burned with jealousy .

Suddenly I felt the ball being snatched away from me. I looked around to see it was my best friend Siddharth.

"Give me the ball back"

"No"

"Stop irritating me you donkey " I shouted

"You should have controlled your anger, now that boy is going to complain against you"

"As if I care"

"Yeah yeah I know you are the great Atharv Malhotra who is not scared of anything but..."

"But?"

"But scared of confessing his love to a girl"

"You idiot I won't leave you" I ran behind him to hit him

"I am just stating facts you dumbo"

"If you don't confess to her now someone else will take her away and then you keep on sulking "

Yeah he is right about that

"I know yarr but I am scared what if she rejects me , I can't think about my future without her"

"But you need to try Atharv "

"You know what you can confess to her today itself" said Yash excitedly

"How?"

"Today is the Freshers Party just go to her and tell her how much you love her"

Yes today I will tell her how much I love her I thought determinedly.

END OF ATHARV'S POV

KIANA'S POV

I had never seem him getting so angry, I was really scared seeing him like that. I hope he is not injured

"Wow that was something " exclaimed Shreya

"Yes my brother did the right thing" said Shanya proudly

"He is your brother!!" exclaimed Shreya

"Yup he is my elder brother Atharv"

"He looks so handsome "said Shreya with dreamy eyes

What the heck is wrong with thus girl why is she eyeing my man I swear I will take out her eyeballs

"Anyways leave all this and let's think about the freshers party" said Maya

"Yeah you guys are gonna come right?" asked Shreya

"Yess" everyone screamed except me. I was not sure if I wanted to go or not

"What happened Kiana won't you come?" asked Maya

Before I could answer her Shanaya already answered it for me

"Yes she will come" said Shanya a gave me a 'Don't you dare say no ' look

"Ok fine " I sighed defeatedly

"You know I heard that this time the theme is going to be a royal ball and it is arranged by the second year students. " said Maya excitedly

Second year students that means Atharv is going to be there

Yayyyy!!

"Then we need to do shopping asap" exclaimed Shanya dragging me with her.

AT THE FRESHERS PARTY

The party was taking place in the college club house. The entire club house was decorated like a fairytale with fairy lights , chandeliers. It was looking magnificent. All the students were dressed up beautifully, girls in ball gowns and the boys in tuxedos but my eyes were searching for only one person and that is Atharv.

"Hey ladies " I heard Siddharth calling us

"Hi sid.. " I couldn't complete my sentence because I froze seeing the person beside him all decked up in a beautiful black tuxedo with his jet black hair perfectly styled . I didn't dare to look at his eyes as I was too shy so I looked down but I could feel his burning gaze on me.

"Hello boys"

"You all are looking very pretty " said Siddharth

"That we know but you are still looking like a monkey" said Shanaya

I don't know why do these two always fight since childhood

"Oh how can I forget that this women can never shut her mouth even if I complement her" said Siddharth sarcastically

"You..."

"Girls and boys please come up to the stage with your respective partners for a couple dance" a person announced

Thank god this announcement was made or else these two would have made this party a war zone.

"Let's go everyone" said Maya and marched towards the dance floor.

Suddenly I saw a hand in front of me I looked up to see that it was Atharv's hand

"Will you dance with me?" He asked in his deep husky voice which gave me shivers down the spine

I blushed profusely

"Please" he said

I did not say anything and held his hand and went toward the dance floor.

The lights were dim a very romantic song was playing. Atharv kept his hand on my waist and pulled me closer to him, so close that I could feel his minty breath on my face I looked at him directly in his eyes and found many emotions running through them which I couldn't pin point.

We were slowly swaying to the music forgetting everything, completely drowned in eachothers eyes. We both were in a completely different world.

Suddenly he moved his face closer to my ears , I could feel his breath falling on my shoulders which was giving me butterflies

"I love you " he whispered

I froze on my spot

What!! did he just say that or am I dreaming??!!

Suddenly the lights of the club house went off.
