CHAPTER 23- I LIKE YOU

ATHARV'S POV

It was 3 am and sleep was far away from me so I came to the balcony to get some fresh air.

I was thinking about all the things  that happened today when I felt someone patting  my shoulder. I didn't even have to turn back to see who it was

"Why are you still awake Mahi, you should sleep" I sighed

"I should ask you the same question Atharv " she said and stood in front of me

I didn't say anything and kept mum

"You know Atharv you can share your feelings with me" she said softly

She is right I should share my feelings with her or else I will go mad.

"I don't know Mahi, seeing Kiana after so many years made my past wounds fresh, I could again feel all the pain ,insults and hatred ." I said while some tears escaped my eyes.

Mahi came closer to me a wiped my tears.

"She became so blind in her selfishness that she couldn't see what was correct and what was wrong . Not for once she asked about our daughter but instead she directly started insulting me just how she did in the past. I wonder if she really loved me " I said everything that came into my mind at that time

"Do you still love her Atharv?" asked Mahi while looking into my eyes directly

"No Mahi I don't love her anymore,  the day she called my Raavi a burden I understood how cruel she is, no mother can ever leave her new born like this but she did. My love ended for her that day itself." I said as more tears spilled my eyes

"I can understand " whispered Mahi  and cupped my face to wipe my tears.

I could feel Mahi's breath falling on my face, I don't know what happened and soon I found myself kissing her. At first Mahi was shocked with the sudden kiss but soon she relaxed and kissed me back . This kiss was nothing  fierce but instead it was a soft one.

Since the day I had kissed her I wanted to kiss her again and again but I somehow controlled myself.  Kissing her that day didn't feel wrong  instead it gave a certain sort of peace and happiness.

Soon we broke the kiss and started panting heavily.

"Mahi , I can't deny the fact that I have feelings for you, I like you but I don't know whether it is love or not and not for a second did I regret this kiss or the kiss that happened that day in the living room" I confessed

Mahi hugged me and started sobbing

"Hey what happened Mahi, didn't you like the kiss, I am so sorry I shouldn't have kissed you with your permission " I apologised

"No you idiot I love the kiss , its only that I thought that you regretted kissing me that day in the living room but after hearing your confession today made my heart relieved and so I started crying "

I chuckled hearing her reason for crying.

I pulled her out of the hug and cupped her face.

"Remember this Mahi Khanna clearly,  I Atharv Malhotra like you very much" I said clearly and loudly

"And I Mahi Khanna love you very very very much" she said and gave me a full blown smile , seeing her smile also made me smile.

I did not waste a second and again kissed her, this time passionately.

We broke the kiss due to lack of oxygen but I was again going  to kiss her but she place her hands on my lips preventing me to kiss her.

I groaned internally for not being able to kiss her.

"No more kisses we need to sleep now as tomorrow we have office and also Raavi has school so we need to wake up early "

"But" I protested but one glare from her made my mouth shut .

We both came inside the house and Mahi was about to enter her room when I stopped her.

"Umm Mahi...actually..umm Raavi was saying that she wants to sleep with her mumma and dadda together so why don't you sleep with us from now on" I stuttered as I was very nervous of her reaction

"Raavi wants it or Raavi's dad wants it?" She asked trying to stifle her laughter.

I guess she caught my lie. I looked here and there trying to hide my blush from her.

"You are so cute" said Mahi coming near  me and pulled my cheeks softly and went inside my bedroom.

Mahi laid on the right side of Raavi whereas  I laid on the left side of Raavi.

It just felt so perfect, just like a perfect family.  Mahi kept her hand on Raavi's stomach while I kept my hand over Mahi's hand and slept peacefuly after so many years.

KIANA'S POV

"Kiana for your next novel we have contacted RM publications to publish it" said my manager , Nisha

"Oh wow !! RM publication is the best publication company in the world " I squealed

"Yes and so I have fixed a meeting today at 12 am with the editor of the publication house" said Nisha

I looked at my watch to find that it was already 11 am

"Oh my god Nisha we need to leave right now as it is already 11am and it will take almost one hour to reach there" I said hastily and left for the meeting.

The RM publications was a  thirty- four floor huge building . The exterior as well as the interior of the bulding was lavishly decorated , I was just mesmerized by it.

"Ma'am, please follow me" said the receptiontionist and took me to the the conference room where the editor was waiting for me.

"Hello nice to meet you Ms Kapoor, I am Tanay Agarwal" he said and shaked hands with me

"Nice to meet you too" I said and after the introduction we started our meeting

As the meeting was going on I heard someone opening the door of the room , I turned around to see who  it was but froze seeing the person standing in front of me

"Atharv? What is he doing here? Did he follow me here?" I thought and suddenly rage filled my mind

"What the heck are you doing over here? You are stalking me right. What else can I expect from a cheap person like you" I shouted angrily

"Ma'am calm down" said Tanay

"What calm down!! how did this beggar come inside the buiding, what's wrong with the buildings security " I said angrily

"Ma'am what are you saying he is not a beggar infact he the owner of RM Industries " said Tanay leaving me shocked.

"Wha...at he is the owner of RM Industries" I stuttered. How is this possible??!!

I looked at Atharv to find him smirking .
