i'm currently with nick in my room. the room is silent neither of us have talked the entire time. just then nick speaks up right on queue. "so how's it going with river?" he asks
"nick i told you once before i don't want to talk about it" i say with tone in my voice. "matt you need to talk to someone" he says "no i don't" i say "i just still can't believe she unfollowed you" he says
i look at him and then back down at my phone. "i know, i didn't think she actually meant it, when she said she didn't want to be best friends with me anymore" i say "well matt you let your girlfriend hurt her" he says
"i know and i'm sorry for that, but she didn't have to go so far as not being as close with me as we used to be" i say "matt you caused it yourself" he says "you actually hurt her feelings" he says
"she hurt mine, just as much as i did her's" i say "okay matt tell her that" he says "she won't even look at me, let alone talk to me" i say "i will figure out a way" he says and gets on his phone ending the conversation.

River's P.O.V.
"river you and matt are going to get food for everyone, before the release" nick says walking into the kitchen. "nope have someone else do it" i say looking at him. "river no, you are going" he says
"nick i told you no" i say "i told you yes everyone else is to 'sick' to go" he says "oh yeah i'm sick too" i say and fake cough. "haha nice try now go, he's waiting in the car" he says and i get up.
"this shit is dumb" i say walking to the door. i open it and walk to the van. i get in and put on my seat belt. neither of us say anything as he pulls out of the driveway.
it's like god isn't on my side and he starts talking. "river i want to apologize" he says when he says this i turn to look out the window. i don't want to hear what he has to say.
"riv come on don't be like that" he says grabbing my hand. "yooo" i say and pull my hand away from him. i laugh because i kind of sounded like chris when i said that.
"anyway matt i don't want to talk to you, i don't want to hear what you have to say. i don't want you to look at me, i actually don't want to even be around you anymore." i say
"river your doing to much" he says getting on his phone switching the song. "no matt i don't think that i am" i say looking at him. "river you literally unfollowed me" he says throwing his phone down.
"dude you need to calm down" i say "no you're pissing me off" he says "matt you know why i unfollowed you, you are a acting like a piece of shit" i say "im not a piece of shit" he says
"you are acting like a piece of shit, maybe you should fix that" i say "how do i fix it?" he asks "now you just sound desperate matthew" i say "i knew this wasn't going to work" he says pulling up to chick-fil-a.
we both get out of the car and go in. i order for everyone and we wait. we both get on our phones as i keep the distance between us. "order for river" the employee says.
i walk over and grab the bags. "by the way i love your name" she says "thank you" i say smiling. we walk back to the car and get in. "river can we just talk about it?" he asks and i nod my head for him to go on.
"i want to go back how it used to be. you literally were the reason i got up everyday" he says and it sends a burning feeling through me. "matt you can't say that" i say "it's the truth" he says
"you got me through everything school, anxiety. you helped me nobody else" he says and i smile. "im sorry about riley, but i like her a lot" he says "i know matt that's why i left" i say
"i didn't want my feelings to interfere with your relationship" i say "but river when you left, it made everything worse for me" he says "matt i get that, i felt the same way" i say
"but the way you made me feel that day river, it hurt so bad" he says "i literally hated life after that" he says and i laugh. "matt you're making me cringe" i say and he shakes his head.
"we won't fight anymore, but matt i told you we aren't friends" i say and i can see his face fall. "we will continue to not be friends until i feel you have earned it" i say
"when will i earn it?" he asks "i don't know matt, but you are far from it" i say and look out the window. i can hear him quietly sob, and i look over. "matt don't do that" i say "well you're making me sad" he says
"you are trying to guilt trip me, i'm not dumb you've been doing it forever" i say and laugh. "not this time, i'm actually upset" he says "whatever" i say and hold his hand.we get back home and it's about an hour before my song comes out. we all eat to pass the time.
"one minute" nick says and everyone crowds around the laptop. "three...two...one..." everyone says and the song starts to play. when it is over everyone looks at me.
i look at nick and smirk. he knows exactly who it's about. he smiles and laughs. "that's my bestie baddy bitch" he says and i laugh. he hugs me and everyone laughs.
