i sit my phone down and on queue nick slams open the door. "river elaine what the fuck" he says out of breathe. "um yes?" i ask "instagram" he says putting his hands on his knees, causing me to laugh.
"what about it?" i ask "the. post. of. matt." he says taking breathes between each word. "oh it's nothing" i say laughing at him. "you can't possibly be that out of breathe" i say
"i reallt am, anyway" he says "you miss matt?" he asks questioning me while sitting on the bed. "yeah so" i say "so go talk to him please" he says "no i don't really want to" i say
"i just miss him, also riley hasn't been such a bitch since i stopped talking to him" i say "you can't just stop talking to your best friend because his girlfriend doesn't want you to" he says
"yes i can and that's what i'm doing" i say "alright i guess" he says "RILEY LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE" nick and i hear while looking at each other. we both get up and walk out to the hallway.
matt and riley are arguing. "YOU LITERALLY DONT CARE ABOUT ME, I BET YOU ARE CHEATING ON MY WITH HER" riley yells. i look at nick and he is looking at me.
"IM NOT CHEATING ON YOU RIVER IS MY BEST FRIEND, SHE ALWAYS HAD BEEN GET THAT THROUGH YOUR FUCKING HEAD" matt yells back at her. i wince at the use of my name.
"HER POST ON INSTAGRAM DOESNT MAKE THAT VERY CONVINCING MATT" she says "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, WHAT POST" matt says still yelling.
"QUITE LYING MATT" she says "RILEY GET THE FUCK OUT, IM NOT LYING ABOUT ANYTHING" matt yells if this was him and i he would have stopped talking so we didn't argue.
this must be serious. "MATT YOU DONT EVEN LOVE ME" she says "YEAH YOUR RIGHT, I DONT LOVE YOU, IVE ALWAYS LOVED HER BUT I NEVER FUCKING CHEATED" he says
mine and nicks eyes both widen. madi and chris walk up the stairs and look at us. "what the fuck is going on?" chris asks "i don't know they are arguing, matt just said he loves river" nick says
chris smiles and i give him a look. "guys i should have never posted that" i say shaking my head. "river you did nothing wrong everyone knows that you guys were best friends, why wouldn't you miss him" madi says
"i know, but i just fucked up their relationship" i say "no you didn't clearly he didn't didn't like her anyway" nick says "i'm so stupid" i say and matt opens his room door. he walks out and looks at me.
he doesn't say anything he just walks away. we all follow him down the hallway. he grabs his keys and leaves. "where are you going matt?" nick asks he doesn't respond he just leaves.
"just leave him alone, let him calm down" i say and riley walks in. she looks at me and rolls her eyes. "okay bitch i've let this go on long enough, leave me the fuck alone." i say
"i don't want your fucking boyfriend, your insecurities are really showing and you need to fix that" i say and nick laughs giving me a thumbs up. i roll my eyes at him.
"river your just a needy bitch who clearly wants my boyfriend" she says "oh yeah i want him so much i will literally die without him" i say with sarcasm. chris just cracks and laughs.
"i know you do" she says "well at this point your boyfriend doesn't even want you" i say laughing. madi's mouth drops into an 'o' shape. "yes he does" she says
"nope he literally just said he's in love with someone else. not you." i say she walks forward getting closer to me. "you're just needy" she says "yeah you've already said that" i say
"can't you just leave?" i ask "i would love to" she says "okay great bye" i say waving at her. she grabs her things and walks out the door. i turn back to everyone and they are laughing.
"stop" i say laughing myself. "damn river" alahna says as her and nathan walk in. "guys i was just a total bitch" i say covering my eyes with my hands. "she was first, you were just returning the favor"nate says
everyone laughs at him. "you should text matt, maybe he will answer you" chris says "yeah i will" i say and walk to my room. i lay on my bed for a few minutes and pick up my phone to text him.
