Chapter 16

River's P.O.V.

we are currently waiting for laura to get us checked in at six flags. she does so much for us i love her. malcolm and trilly met us here. laura comes over and gives us our thing.

we walk in and chris wants to go on the batman. we all walk to it and we are first in line. we get on and i sit in between madi and alahna. the ride starts and it is slow at first. we get to the top and it goes we turn upside down in a circle.

the ride is soon over. "can we go on the superman?" nathan asks "im in let's go" i say and we all walk to it and we wait in line. matt is standing by me looking up as the people on the ride are dropping.

i can see him shake his head. he is nervous. he hates heights. his hands start shaking a little bit. riley sees him, but she doesn't pay any attention to him. i contemplate it, but i hold his hand anyway.

i can immediately feel him start to calm down. he looks at me with worry in his eyes. "hey it's okay, it will be fun. i promise" i say and he smiles. i smile back at him. it feels weird, but i try to ignore the feeling.

we move up in the line and i feel him jerk back a little. he doesn't want to go on it. "i know your scared, but it will be fun" i say and he shakes his head. everyone else is now on the ride.

"i don't want to" he says and i nod. "okay i will wait with you then" i say "no you can go on it, i don't want to stop you" he says and i shake my head. "it's okay matt, i promise" i say

we get out of line and i hold his hand as i lead us through the line. we get out and wait for everyone to get off of the ride. "im sorry, you should have gone on the ride" he says

"i told you it's fine, someone has to help you when your nervous" i say "i need to just stop being a baby" he says "matt it has nothing to do with you being a baby, everyone is scared of something" i say

"but we aren't even friends and you make me feel better" he says "we may not be friends, but i will always know how to make you feel better. i've done it forever now" i say

"i've missed you" he says and i can't help, but to smile. "i've definitely missed you more" i say "i don't know about that" he says i look at him and he's looking at me. my phone dings indicating i have a text message.

matt and i both look at it and it's from colin. i look at matt and he rolls his eyes. he turn away from me. here we go again, back to this stupid shit. i open the message and reply back to him.

i put my phone in my pocket and turn to matt. he is still facing the other way. i walk to where i am standing in front of him. he looks at me and just walks away. i follow him and he walks up to everyone.

"matt stop" i say and he does. "what river?" he asks with tone in his voice. "this isn't fair, you can't be mad at me because a guy texts me" i say "im not" he says "yes you are" i say and he rolls his eyes.

"whatever i'm not talking about this" he says "matt you can't just stop talking every time there could possibly be an argument" i say "you know i hate fighting" he says

"yeah i know, but you're just being really annoying" i say "you're not my boyfriend or friend really you can't tell me who i can and cannot talk to" i say "im done with this" he says i roll my eyes and walk away.

i get to everyone and stand by nick. he gives me a look, but i don't respond. "let's go on the boss" i say and everyone agrees. we walk to the boss and get on. i sit with nick this time.

he pulls out his vlog camera and records us. "hey guys so we are on the boss and i'm sitting with river" he says and i wave at the camera. "im excited" i say and smile. a few seconds later it starts.

we go around and we are about to go down the hill. nick points the camera towards us and we go down. i just know my face is going to have everyone cracking up.

the ride was over and we decided to go to johnny rockets to eat. i got chicken strips and fry's. nick looks at me. "it's good" i say and he laughs. we sit at a table and eat. i got on my phone and took a picture.

i posted it on my instagram story. nick and i finish our food and walk to throw it in the trash can. "i saw you holding matt's hand? so are we friends again?" he asks "not even close" i say "why not?" he asks

"i don't want to be also he's mad that the guy from the mall texted me" i say "he sounds jealous" he says and i laugh. "why would he be?" i ask "maybe he just misses you, and wants you to himself" he says

"that sucks for him, i'm not just going to stop texting colin because matt is jealous" i say and nick smiles. "you do you girl" he says and gives me a high five. we walk back to everyone and they are done.

we spend the rest of the day riding rides and playing games. tril and malcolm came to the air bnb and we all hung out around the pool. we also recorded some bits to add to the vlog.
