Chapter Eighteen: Rain Night Decision

Marie POV.

Flashback...

"What did you say?!" Tom shouted angrily.

"Yeah, you heard me, you're unbelievable jerk!" I shouted.

"Oh now I'm a jerk, fine! Think that way, you'll come back to me sooner or later." Tom shouted back.

"You...! You know what, I want to break up with you!" I shouted.

"Whoa... Slow down right here, I am not going to break up with you!" Tom shouted, suddenly I hear a crash sound. "Whoa!"

"T-Tom? Hello? Answer me!" I shouted.

later...

I cried so hard as I wait outside the ER, next to me Kim. "How did this happened?" Kim asked quietly.

"I don't know, I was talking happily with him, suddenly we started to quarrel, then we start fighting, after that I heard a crash sound and the conversation end." I said.

"You...! You seriously fought with him While he was driving?!" Kim said angrily trying to low her tone since we are in a hospital.

"He started it, he's mean and jerk." I said.

"Yeah he is, but he is the mean and jerk that you love." Kim said. I was taken aback by her words and hung my head down.

"You're... Right, I even said something that shook him." I said. I didn't really meant it when I said I want to break up with him, I was just in the heat of the moment. Tears stream as it's fall quietly. The doctor emergence from the door and both of Kim and I stood up.

"How's he doctor?" Kim asked.

"I'm sorry, but I need to talk to a family member." The doctor said and Kim's anger rise to the point of boiling.

"Are you blind?! I'm a family! Kim Prince, his biological twin sister! Can't you see the similarities between me and my brother?! Now tell me how is he?! I don't repeat my words for anyone, you hear!" Kim shouted angrily as if she's getting all her anger out.

"And what about her?" The doctor said and point a finger on me.

"Ah who cares, she's just his stupid girlfriend, so spit it now!" Kim said.

"As you wish." The doctor said and cleared his throat. "As you see, Tom Prince was injured on a car accident, his right arm is broken and he has several bruises, his head injured badly, right now he's in a coma, he'll wake up after two days, so rest assured."

"B-But you said his head was injured badly, how bad it is?" I asked, the doctor knit his brows when I asked.

"We don't know yet, well excuse me." The doctor said and left.

Present day...

Kim didn't come today saying her mother want her. I went inside Tom's room to see him sleeping, just looking at him like this, is enough to break my heart. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "You might not hear me but I'll say it... I really didn't mean what I said about breaking up with you, I was just angry, I like you, I love you more than anyone or anything." I said and stared at him hoping that he'll wake up, but he didn't.

"Marie..." I hear him saying my name and I look up, his face twisted in pain.

"Tom...?" I called his name but he didn't reply. His face soften as if nothing happened. "I got my hopes up again, how idiotic."

"Did you finally realize this?" Tom said and I quickly look up. He was looking at me with his usual mischievous smile. "Come here." Tom gesture me to sit on the bed and I do, he grabbed my hand and kissed it. "I'm not dreaming, this is real."
