My heart leaped in my chest,
Unsettling my rest when I looked at the stranger's eyes.
He smiled at me and must have noticed my hoping heart,
Then glanced at me again and I thought I left the dark,
With the smile across his face
And the flitting warmth in his gaze.
It was but a moment later I realized my heart had no normal pace,
And I merely believed that for this someone my heart did race.
But love, he was only for a moment,
At a second's glance.
He was somebody else who saw my heart's hidden life
Dance in my eyes
...only because he looked like you.
