Chapter 9

"Lisa?"

"Yes love?"

It was a casual evening and the pair was lounging watching TV cuddled up.

"I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow..." Jennie mumbled not tearing her eyes away from the screen. She was laying in between Lisa's legs her back resting on her front.

"Really?" Lisa said excitingly. "Do you feel something?"

"Well..." Jennie shifted in Lisa's lap so she could face her. "It's just a casual check up but I guess they'll do a test too."

"Are you nervous?"

"A bit..."

"Honey look at me. It's ok we have plenty of time. I told you what is important to me is you feel ready."

"I know Lis..."

"Talk to me love." It was clear Jennie was hesitant.

"In all honesty Lis..." the Omega knew there was no reason to to express how she felt. "As my mate everything is perfect but I still doubt a lot of things in our relationship."

"Is it about my and your father's business?"

"It's not just about that Lisa! When you don't talk to me it means you don't trust me as your mate." Jennie was starting to get a bit angry.

"It's a mater of safety Jen." Lisa remained calm.

"Oh for fucks sake Lisa. You talk to me as if I'm some stupid omega that can be manipulated. I thought you were starting to understand who I am." Jennie said and left the room without giving Lisa the time to respond.

Ten minutes later Jennie returned with a duffel bag fully dressed.

"I will spent a few days at my parents house. Till you finally decide to come clean."

"Jen love pl-"

"No. I'm serious Lisa."

"I- The business..." the Αlpha couldn't form words.

Jennie just rolled her eyes and walked out the door. The moment she stepped on the porch she heard Lisa calling her name.

"JEN! Wait I will drive you." Lisa said opening the door for Jennie. "How were you going to get to your parent's house this late Jen..." the Alpha set and started the car.

"We have drivers Lisa I would have called somebody. I would drive myself if I knew how but I assume you won't allow it..."

"Now you're being unfair. You never mentioned it and mainly why would I refuse..." Lisa said calmly.

"Oh I'm being unfair! I'm still in the dark about everything that happened yet I'm the one being unfair." Jennie knew what Lisa said was true but she couldn't help but feel frustrated.

"I thought things between us were going well Jen. We were having so many good times."

"We were Lisa but a relationship it's not just about the good times. It's about trust and to be honest I don't feel you trust me at all as your mate."

Lisa remained silent for the rest of the drive. Jennie's last words truly hurt her and she understood how Jennie felt. Once at the Kim mansion Jennie quickly got out of the car but Lisa caught her pulling her closer.

"I do trust you even though it's hard for you to tell. I made a promise and I will never brake it." Lisa said caressing Jennie's cheek. "Please just call me or text me after the doctor's appointment." and Lisa pecked Jennie's lips. As she was about to pull away Jennie grabbed her neck and deepened the kiss. Despite their argument the Omega couldn't hold back the attraction and bond she had with her mate.
