Arthur Leywin POV

As if in perfect harmony, the resounding chime of the bell reverberated through the classroom, signaling the end of the class. I turned away from the stunned gazes and slackened jaws of my classmates, feeling a sense of satisfaction wash over me.

As soon as I stepped out of the classroom, I felt a hand tap my shoulder, causing me to turn around. Feyrith stood beside me, his arm casually draped over my shoulder. He gave me a thumbs up, a genuine smile playing on his lips. "As expected from my rival. Your skills have improved since the last time we fought."

I couldn't help but return the smile. "Thanks, Fey."

Kathlyn approached us, her expression unreadable as always. "That was quite an impressive display, Arthur," she said, her voice soft but confident.

Rimuru, his trademark grin stretching from ear to ear, joined our little gathering. "I have to admit, that was pretty amazing, Art."

I glanced at my mischievous brother, who had orchestrated this whole ordeal. "I probably would have been grateful for that if you hadn't been the one forcing me to do it," I said, as Sylvie leaping onto my brother's head.

"Come on, what's the worst that could happen?" he cheerfully asked, playfully nudging my shoulder. Unable to resist, I rolled my eyes and smiled despite myself.

"Alright, we will go now. We have Gideon's class next," my brother declared, waving to our friends as he started walking. I fell into step beside him, and we made our way through the bustling halls of the academy.

"You owe me one," I stated, half-jokingly, as we walked side by side. "Because of you, I'll be in the spotlight for a while, even though I didn't want to stand out."

"Okay, okay, I promise I'll make it up to you," my brother replied, his voice tinged with teasing amusement. "Though, to be fair, you would've been the subject of attention even without my little push."

I couldn't help but let out a small sigh, acknowledging the truth in his words. Despite my best efforts to blend into the background and avoid unnecessary attention, my skills had demanded a spotlight that I had never sought. And now, as we made our way through the bustling halls, I couldn't help but wonder how this newfound attention would shape my future at the academy.

As we made our way towards my next class, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of frustration. I had been impulsive in that moment, only seeking to overpower Professor Geist quickly. Using only my wind and earth attributes, I hadn't been able to end the battle as effortlessly as I had hoped. Perhaps being bestowed with too many gifts had made me a bit too arrogant.

In reality, I had yet to reach the pinnacle of strength in this vast continent, despite the considerable advantages I possessed. Instead of comparing myself to students my age, I needed to think bigger and strive for greater heights.

The next class on my schedule piqued my interest: Basics of Artificing. In my previous world, artificing was unheard of. I was certain there were connections between the manipulation and coding of mana and the technology of my old world, but the concept of infusing objects with mana to achieve specific purposes was entirely new to me.

Upon entering the classroom, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the layout of the room was that of a laboratory. Beakers, containers, different types of ores and various gadgets filled the room, making it all the more authentic.

I was somewhat relieved to see that there was no one I knew in this class, giving me peace of mind. As students began to file in, I noticed them gravitating toward their acquaintances and friends, forming small groups and filling the seats. Ri and I located a pair of stools and settled down, ready for the class to begin.
