"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Her eyes changed to her wolf's but there the same blue as yours."

"Okay. I trust your judgement."

_____________

"When is she going to wake up?"

"I don't know. Her bodies weak, too weak for an Alpha."

"Are you sure she's a-"

"If she is who you say she is. Yes."

______________

"I'm getting worried, Alpha. What if I put too much?"

"You didn't."

"How do you know?"

"Because I choose to believe you weren't careless with her."

"I wasn't. I swear."

"Then she's fine... She has to be."

________________

It's been two weeks Alpha..."

"I know that!"

"Why isn't she waking up?"

"I don't know!"

"Alpha..."

"This is absolutely ridiculous! She has to be fighting it, she has to!"

"No one has ever been able to fight it, Alpha. She's prob-"

"Then she's the first."

"It's been almost three months Preston, what do we do?"

"I don't know Alpha... I don't know."

Preston...?

Is the first thing that I've thought in apparently almost three months.

Their words just rang over and over in my mind.

Alpha...

Why isn't she waking up...

She's fine...

It's been two weeks...

The same blue as yours...

I sit straight up with a gasp. My eyes go wild as I take in the people standing in front of me.

A tall man with black hair and blue eyes and... Preston?

I try to speak but my throat feels dry, causing me to cough.

"Here drink this." Preston says, handing me a glass of water.

Or a glass that looks like water.

What if I gave her too much...

I push the glass back in his hand and look into his eyes. They did this to me. Preston did this to me.

"Calista, you need to drink the water." Preston says to me.

I try to talk again but it's no use. I shake my head as an answer, and he sighs ultimately setting the glass back down in its original spot.

The tall black-haired man moves, and my attention goes to him. He walks over to a small fridge in the corner and grabs a water bottle.

He walks up to the side of the... bed... I'm sitting in and hands me the water bottle.

I take it and hold it in my hand for a moment.

"Drink." he says. His voice rough.

I finally meet his eyes and I gasp. His eyes are bright blue. Practically the same color as mine.

"Trust him." Maeve says.

It's the first time I've heard her voice since falling asleep in those woods.

I unscrew the water bottle and take big gulps until my throat feels less like sandpaper.

"Who are you?" I ask, although it doesn't sound much like my voice. This voice is deeper.

Preston and the man's eyes never leave me. It's almost like there watching a wild animal that you need to be careful around.

"I'm Ashton and this is-" the black-haired man, Ashton, says, but I cut him off.

"Preston. We've met." I say narrowing my eyes at Preston.

Ashton just laughs as Preston squirms under my stare.

Then Maeve steps through, her eyes flashing through my own, and Ashton gasps making Preston smirk.

"I told you." Preston says looking at Ashton.

I look at Ashton to find him already looking at my eyes.

Maeve's eyes.

"You most certainly did." Ashton murmurs, not looking away from me.
