CALISTA GRACE (One year later)
"Are you sure?" Ashton asks me.
"It's time to go home." I tell him.
He nods with a smile.
I'm seeing my family today.
My brother and sister.
My mom.
I walk into my room and pull my hair into a high ponytail.
I slip on my black leather pants and Black tank top with my black shifter boots.
"You ready?" Ruby asks from my doorway.
And I turn to see Ruby and her twin Ryder standing there, waiting for me.
I nod my reply, following them out.
Ready as I'll ever be...

"We go to the throne room first. That's were Rhett will be." I tell them.
Preston shifts on his feet.
"What's wrong with you?" I ask him.
"This is really bad timing but remember when I told you my mate rejected me for another wolf?" he asks.
I nod.
"Well, my mate was the beta of this packs daughter..." he says trailing off.
Fucking hell.
Amberlyn.
I pat his shoulder, "You dodged a bullet."
"Aida, Ryder. You're with me and Calista. Ruby and Preston, you're outside the throne room." Ashton says, giving a pointed look to Preston who sighs in relief.

I take deep breaths as we get on my old territory.
I'm more nervous than I thought I would be.
"You got this." Ashton whispers to me.
I smile at him, and he gives me his own in return.
"You ready?" I ask Ryder and Aida and they both give me nods. I nod once at Ashton before we bust the throne room door open.
My eyes immediately find Rhett's as gasps erupt from the room.
I give a sly grin as his eyes widen in pain.
"Calista..." he says, breathless.
"Mate..." I say to him with a smile.
His eyes widen more.
I just acknowledged the mate bond.
"Excuse me?!" Amberlyn screams from beside him.
Then she laughs hysterically.
"Oh, you wish, Mutt! You wish you were good enough to be his mate!" she says, continuing to laugh.
I feel Ashton tense beside me.
I sigh at her words twirling my dagger between my fingers.
"Amberlyn....Amberlyn.... Amberlyn, what am I going to do with you?" I say not looking at her.
She laughs again but I hear the edginess inside it.
"Kneel!" She screams at me.
I laugh at her. Rhett made her Luna I feel it in her voice.
But I'm the heir to the Alpha King.
The most powerful Alpha.
She visibly recoils at me.
"I have the power here, Mutt! Listen to what I say!" she screams again.
"The thing you need to learn, Amberlyn, is, nobody gives you power. You just take it. But unfortunately, you made the mistake of underestimating me.... so, I'm going to say this once and once only. Kneel before me and keep your mouth shut until I say otherwise" I say, the ending in my Alpha tone.
She tris to fight it I'll give her that, but she doesn't stand a chance.
"Ryder?" I say not moving my eyes from Amberlyn.
"Yes?" he speaks.
"Take Amberlyn to our cellars." I say smiling at her.
He nods before taking her in his arms and using supernatural speed to run from the throne room.
I turn back to my mate, but I stop in my tracks when I hear a gasp.
I tun to the sound and my breath gets caught in my words at the sight.
My mother, Jude, parker stand before me.
Both my siblings look at me with disbelief.
And my mother has the same look, but it's not directed towards me.
It's directed towards Ashton.
"Ashton..." she says before falling to her knees.
