CALISTA GRACE
Ashton runs to my mother before she can hit the floor. Emotions cross his face that I have never seen before.
Agony.
Agony is what across both their faces.
I glance back at my siblings.
Jude can't take her eyes off my them.
I glance at Parker.
He's staring at me with tears in his eyes.
I start to walk toward him, but he sprints towards me.
He crashes into me with the force of the earth.
It knocks the breath out of me.
His forehead rests on my shoulder and his tear stains leak through my tank top.
"You left me." he sobs.
The tears fall freely from my own eyes now.
"I'm sorry." I choke out.
"How could you?" he begs.
"I never meant to hurt you. I'm so sorry." I say as he clings to me.
I open my eyes to find my parents and Jude staring at me and Parker.
My parents are standing. Ashton's arms around my mom and her leaning into him.
I pull away from Parker slightly, but he tightens his hold on my side.
I walk towards my mom and Jude.
Me, Jude, Parker, and my mom go in for a group hug,
I glance down to see Ashton holding onto my mom's hand like he's scared she'll disappear again.
Once we pull apart, I look at Jude to see her looking back at me.
"I want to be so angry at you.' she says to me.
I juts nod at her.
She has every right to be.
"But damn you Calista, I missed you so much." she says, her turn to sob.
I give her moment and glance at Ashton.
I smile at him, and he gives me the brightest smile I've seen so far.
My mom notices the expressions pass between us and says with a sigh, "So I'm guessing you know everything then?"
I look at her with a frown, and nod.
"Calista I just wanted to say I'm so-" she says but I cut her off.
"Mom it's okay. It's really okay." I say grabbing her hand and squeezing it.
"So, I hate to break up this little family reunion but what do I do with him?" Aida says gesturing to the kneeling Rhett on the throne stairs.
I laugh and gesture for her to grab him and follow us.
My siblings stay at my side with Ashton and my mom following closely behind.
"Stay and keep the pack in line." I say to Preston winking at him.
"Yes, my queen." He says bowing.
My family and I start the long walk to the border to the Gold Moon Pack when a voice speaks up from behind my parents.
"So, you just stop by after three years and forget about little old me?"
I turn to see a teary-eyed Anaya with her arms crossed staring at me.
