I hid.

My heart was beating out of my chest.

I hope no one hears it.

Jay crept out of the bushes and scanned the area with her gun.

I jumped out of my hiding spot and she looked up.

She pointed her gun which I kicked away and used my other leg to kick her in the chest.

She coughed and I punched her.

She tried to shoot me again but I grabbed and pointed her gun up to the sky before taking out the magazine and hit her with it.

She slammed the butt of the gun against my head and I grunted before she tackled me.

I kicked her off and put her in a choke hold.

She growled and tried to pry me off.

I wrapped my legs around hers and arched my back to push her away from me.

I felt her go limp after a while and I let go.

Fuck.

I looked up at the watch tower.

We've been at this for hours.

After a few minutes, all the men appeared.

"Good job." Konig clapped. "You two are very good."

A groan came from Jay and she sat up.

I wanted to help her but I wasn't sure what to do.

She got to her feet and stood beside me.

"You two. I'm very impressed by how far you've come so far."

Ghost nodded at me.

Wait, did he just approve of me?

"Why don't we all go out for drinks?" Soap smiled.

Shit.

Whatever, I just won't drink. I'll just have water.

"Excellent idea, sergeant! Let's go!" Konig said.

"Can we freshen up first?" Jay bird asked.

"Of course. You're dismissed." Captain Price nodded.

"Are you okay?" I asked as we hurried away.

"Yeah. Good job by the way! I really couldn't get out of your choke hold!"

"Thanks. I do that to my brothers a lot when they piss me off."

I got into the shower, got dressed and did my hair in a braid.

Jay and I looked at each other when we found each other outside.

"You look scrumptious!" Jay gave me thumbs up and I laughed.

"Thanks! You look... uh..." I tried to think of a funny compliment.

"Magnifique?"

"Oui oui."

"Don't you look delicious." Soap whispered to her as he approached us with Ghost.

"Where's my compliment?" I asked him.

"Check the dumpster."

"Hmm. Will you give me a boost? I can't see over the edge. It's to high." I smiled.

"Then suffer." He deadpanned.

I let out a sigh.

"Alright. Let's go." Gaz said.
