Chapter 5

"I came here to give you lunch," kaswal nyang saad.

Lumalim ang gitla ng noo ko at lito pa rin syang pinagmamasdan.

He gotta be kidding me.

Humila sya ng isang bakanteng upuan at ipinuwesto sa aking tabi blocking my way. I can't really absorb what's happening at the moment. Hindi pa man ako nakakarecover sa pagiyak ko ay eto namang pagdating nya.

"You already know the answer why I'm here, Liz," he said in his deep baritone.

Napalunok ako at napatulala.

Come again?

"W-what?!" bulalas ko.

Saru arched his brow snobbishly. His eyes squinted a bit as he brushed his hair upward before placing his arm on my seat.

I inhaled sharply as his minty breath touched my exposed collarbone. He was ridiculously close. The butterflies in my stomach celebrated.

"I'm going to court you," he said seriously, looking at me with so much gentleness.

What the?!

I gasped loudly, the sound echoing in the room. The loud beats of my heart were wild. I was having a hard time calming my nerves!

Nanuot sa aking ilong ang kanyang mamahaling pabango. Nanatili syang malapit sa akin at titig na titig. It's as if he's been waiting for this moment to arrive, and now he doesn't want to miss the opportunity.

Sinubukan kong magsalita ngunit tila nawalan ako ng boses para gawin iyon.

Saru released a deep sigh, and his hands flew to my hair, gently caressing it. My lips parted slightly, distracting him. I noticed how his eyes intensified with an unknown emotion.

"Am I moving too fast?" he asked cautiously.

I didn't speak, just stared at him, still processing his words. Ramdam ko ang pamumula ng buong mukha dahil sa pagpili nya ng salita.

He licked his lips in the sexiest way, and my eyes widened slightly. Namula ako ng husto sa ginawa nya. Damn! What the hell? Bakit halatang-halata na naaapektuhan ako sa palabas nya ngayon?

Boba ka, Lilace! Akala ko ba hindi mo tipo 'yan? Bakit para kang tuod ngayon?! Fuck! Lupa lamunin mo na 'ko! Halos naiiyak kong pahisterya sa aking isip.

"Ano bang pinagsasabi mo, Saru? Will you stop f-fooling around?" pagalit kong anas sakanya.

Imbes na mawalan ng pag-asa, umangat lamang ng bahagya ang gilid ng kanyang labi.

"I cooked your favorite. Please eat this. You still have a night class later, you need the energy..." he said gently as he placed the paper bag on my desk.

Umahon sya at umayos ng upo kaya nagkaroon na kami ulit ng distansya. Doon lang ako nakahinga. His presence is suffocating me... but somehow it feels comfortable... to have him around.

Tahimik ko pa rin syang pinagmamasdan. Sinusubukang kalkulahin ang kanyang mga galaw. Hindi ko alam kung bakit sya biglang umakto ng ganito.

What is this? Revenge? My karma? Why does fate keep on fucking the hell out of me nonstop? Things between me and Elias did not end well, and now with Saru. How am I supposed to get out of this complicated situation?

Nakatunghay lang sa akin si Saru habang gulong-gulo na ang utak ko. Kalmado lang sya kahit mukha pa ring masungit. Mariin ang paninitig tila ba tinitimbang ang reaksyon ko.

"You cried again, huh?" he coldly said, not tearing his eyes from me.

Namutla ako nang banggitin nya ang tungkol doon.
