MIKAYLA

. . .

"You are acquiring Rathore's business and you didn't even tell me?"

He has just entered the room.

He gives me a simple glance, running a hand through his tousled hair as he pushes the door close behind him. A heavy sigh escapes his lips and he nods his head.

"I thought of surprising you," he says, letting a smirk pull over his lips. "How was it?" He wiggles his eyebrows, grinning at me.

My jaw clenches as I glare at him. He simply ignores the look and walks towards the couch while loosening his tie. He sits there and puts down his phone on the table.

"Awful!" I utter and walk over to him. His eyes raise as he stares at me. "And that's wrong, okay? I'm not gonna listen to you just because you've become my boss. You won't boss over me!"

"What's wrong, Mikayla? You gave me your word and now you're backing off?" He tilts his head as he speaks very calmly while I'm almost holding myself from doing something very bad to him.

I didn't know that!

I had no idea he'd be acquiring my boss's business and that's why I was confident but this is cheating. He can't just come anytime and order me to come to the honeymoon with him.

"I'm not backing off, okay? I just didn't know you'd come out of nowhere and become my boss. You can't order me and I'm not going to any honeymoon with you!"

"I didn't come out of nowhere. Your company was well aware of the acquisition that was going to take place but some took it as a rumor which was dumb. Now stop yelling at me and do as you said!"

Oh, I'm yelling?

Though I haven't even shown him the way I literally yell, I'll show him now.

"That's cheating!" He groans at the loud voice, rolling his eyes, and I give him no chance to recover as I grab his necktie and pull him closer.

A small gasp escapes his lips. The lids of his pretty sky eyes raise, his eyelashes curled. I used to be jealous of them.

"Now I see why you were so confident but I'm telling you, Blondie Dawood, I'm not obeying you like a damn puppy!"

He sighs. "When did I even treat you like one?" He gently takes back his necktie and I let him, loosening my hold as it slips down my grip. "I just want you to come with me."

"To a f*cking honeymoon!" I utter as I turn around, stepping away. "Why would I be coming with you when there's nothing normal between us? You know coming to a honeymoon with you means I accepted this relationship which I never did."

My language seems to irk him but he asked for it.

"Language, Mikayla!" He warns, standing up tall and looking down at me, narrowing his eyes. "Just because I treat you gently, doesn't mean you'll open your gutter mouth to use the wrong words." That chide was calm yet the tone was grave, hinting at the consequences which I don't give a f*ck about.

He can do whatever the hell he wants to do. I myself am not very fond of this language but he desires to listen to me by provoking me to the point I'm just about to erupt like a damn volcano.

"Gentle, ha?" I cross my arms on my chest as I reply sharply, "It was me who was being lenient to you, okay? I was being nice to you every time, not wishing to fight with you until we live together but guess what? You got no hint! You never cared about my efforts!"
