Rosabella's Pov
What happened a year back
When Alex said Bella stopped talking a year back it didn't cross my mind to ask what made her stop talking but now l am afraid of knowing what happened
Alex has made it clear these past few days that he blames me for whatever happened but l thought Bella didn't blame me but she's made it quite clear that she blames me as well
Maybe l didn't try enough
Maybe l should have tried harder
I did everything but it wasn't enough because my children had to bear the brunt of my mistake
I always thought that l was a great father but l am the reason of my children's suffering and they hate me
"She needs help these constant panic attacks are not doing her any good Mr De Luca " the doctor said after examining Bella
"I know " l said looking at her while she was sleeping
After the doctor left the boys all came home after they heard about what happened to their sister and the scowl on Alex's face showed just how much he hated me
My boys and my wife were all scattered around Bella's room while we all waited for her to wake up
"I didn't any of this to happen" l said looking at my sleeping daughter
"This isn't your fault Matteo l shouldn't have talked to her" Elena said
"She's mad because l didn't find them sooner and her anger is justified" l said as tears fell from my eyes
"You did everything dad" Elonzo said looking at me worriedly
I don't blame my son's for looking at me like this, till date l've rarely shown emotions but today l am completely heartbroken
"Well you were a year late " Alex said looking at his sister
"What happened a year back Alex l need to know" l said as l turned to his direction
"It's not my story to tell "
What could have happened a year back that took so much from my children
"She may forgive you but l will never forget what they had to go through because of you while you were getting married here
There was a time when l would have given anything for being back here with you dad but you are the reason we suffered so much
I trusted you but you broke my trust and l will never forget or forgive you for that " Alex said and my heart shattered but his brothers looked angry
"Dad did everything he could Alex " Leonardo said
"Enough let the boy speak " l said to him
"Leonardo is right dad l won't sit by and let him insult you for something you had no control over" Leone said
"Of course you would defend him ,you have no idea what l went through and you wouldn't comprehend half of what Rosabella went through" Alex snapped at them
"Then tell us what you guys went through because this isn't helping anyone " Elonzo said
"Alex warned me to never go out of our room if mom had visitors but l was adamant "
We all turned to see Rosabella awake and she spoke in the presence of all her brothers
