Chapter 40

Rosabella's Pov
Alex and l left for dinner and when we entered the dinning table everyone was looking at me
"Did something happen" l asked no one in particular
"Apparently your nonna is upset with you, did you do something?" dad asked
"Well it is between me and my nonna " l said with gritted teeth
You seriously can't do anything in this house without everyone finding out about it.
"l sense a bit of attitude coming from you" dad said raising his eyebrows
"l wasn't giving you an attitude l was simply gesturing that everyone should mind their in business every once in a while in this house" l said pulling my chair to sit
"You're walking on thin ice now Rosabella so tread carefully" dad said and l could tell he was getting annoyed at me.
Honestly l think Alex's teasing got the better of me because l don't normally get in trouble in this house and for the first time nonna shouted at me.
Call me childish and spoilt but my family's approved means a lot to me and upsetting any one of them bothers me a lot
Throughout dinner everyone was quiet and dad didn't even say a word l guess l ruined his mood
"Rosabella follow me " dad said as he stood up and l quietly followed him to his office
Dad sat in his office chair and l sat opposite him ,l was shaking in my shoes because of the way he looked at me
"l do not care what is bothering you young lady but l will not tolerate any attitude from you" dad said menacingly and l was honestly afraid of the look in his eyes
l didn't say anything as l was shell shocked by the look on my dad's face and l was snapped from my thoughts when l heard him stand from his chair
"You don't have anything to say Rosabella hmm l think l've spoilt you into thinking that you can say and do anything without facing the repucrations " dad said and l gasped
"l am not spoilt and even if l was it would be your fault after all you're the one spoiling me , maybe you should let me go back to my mother atleast she won't spoil me" l said and l instantly regretted my words the moment they left my mouth
"What did you say " he said
At that moment l instantly ran to my room and shut the door
l cried the whole night, l was wrong to talk to dad the way l did and l understand why he was angry
l don't even know what in the world possessed me to talk about my mother after everything she put me and Alex through and what's worse is that l did it to intentionally hurt my dad
No one came to wish me goodnight before l went to sleep and l know it was because dad told them what happened and they were also angry at me
