Origins of Life's Rule

10 2 2

A single spec of fuel,
A tiny fraction of air,
Everything that's needed
To make a tiny flare.

And from that tiny flare,
Another sparks to life.
Even after that one,
The next one starts its strife.

And from that started strife,
A flame becomes a blaze.
Ending only when
The smoke becomes a haze.

And of that sickly haze,
A wind will surely clear,
Engulfing all the bad
To rid of all the fear.

And once it's rid of fear,
A pretty flower grows
Out of ash and dirt
Taking on its show.

And once its show is done,
A beautiful flower will ye have.
Oh come and embrace it,
Till it gives you one last laugh.

And with that laugh you get
A simple kiss goodbye.
Only from your love
To watch you say goodbye.

And now you've said goodbye,
And the flower wilts away.
Oh where did that flower come from?
That's a story for another day.

And on that day you'll know
About that spec of fuel
Or you might just question
The beauty of life's rule.
