It's as cold as the pavement
As painful as remembering our shinning moments
And it's as empty as the figment of my imagination
For those who care, it's a careless torment
Something easy to lend
But hard to be on the receiving end
Something easy to send
But not something easily bend
It's hard to make sense
As some use it as a defense
Some use it as a fence
And some use it unknowingly
For they are dense
But whatever reason we use it for
Surely, it's not a nice habit to be indifferent
Cause the pain you would feel would be immense
And certainly this chapter will not be painless
It makes a lot of wounds to the receiving end
And it takes a lot of scar to make anyone send it
You don't know if it's by choice
Or if there's just no other way
You don't know if it's just an act
Or they just really don't care
It's the way I always act to be
Cause it's easier to paint over the pain
Than show everyone the rain
Cause you don't know who really cares
Indifference is my defense
And this charade is my offense
And I, at least, can save my pride
Granted that I might fall mid-stride
basically it revolves around indifference... inspired by my 'friend' who always act really indifferent, and partly cause I act indifferent to a lot of things...
