Dear Daddy,
What if I'm not the good girl that you know of
And I'm as bad as that girl you scrutinized
Will you disown me and pretend that I'm not your daughter?
Dear Daddy,
What if I'm not as clean and prude as you think
And I've experienced things I shouldn't have
Will you abandon me and criticize me?
Dear Daddy,
What if I'm homosexual or bisexual
That sort of people you always frown upon
Will you disregard me and break off all our ties?
Dear Daddy,
What if I'm as tainted as those thugs
And I smoke, drink, and have body paintings and piercings
Will you throw me off your shoulder and forget me?
Dear Daddy,
What if I'm not smart as you think
And I'm only doing my best to give you the best result
Will you spit me back up along with the praises you gave me?
Dear Daddy,
What if I'm not the girl you thought you knew
And I'm only pretending for your benefit
Will you leave me and never forgive me?
Dear Daddy,
Nothing matters to me
Even if I'm no longer your princess
You'll still be my king and my hero
Dear Daddy,
Even if at times, I've felt like I hate you
And more than couple of times, I've thought of running away
I'd never abandon you and I'll always love you
a short poem I wrote for my Dad... showing and telling him that I love him... and giving a hint to him, that I'm not really the goody-two-shoes-baby girl he knew me for...
guys, love your parents... life is short and you should tell them how much you love them... and even if you have a problem with them, don't forget to thank them and show them you care... you won't be where you are now without them...
hugs and kisses... xOxOx...
always s^.^ile...
