she never liked home
it was too small for her
at least in her mind
so as soon as she could
she left it all behind
and fled across oceans
where she found
the person she believed
she was meant to be
she roamed the countryside
thinking all was better here
but could never shake off
the nagging in her chest
memories of childhood's past
that came to mind
whenever she felt lonely
in her new fabulous life
despite attempts to commune
with nature and learn
from her past mistakes
the urge was too great
the path was destined
to lead her to this -
returning home to
comfort of memories
and discovering her place
was always here
