my journey to madness
was a slow climb
like a roller coaster
before the deep plunge
I saw the signs
written on the wall in blood
didn't realize it was mine
my soul slowly decaying
but I put on a brave face
pretending death wasn't calling
my name, but I heard it's sweet
whisper in my ear to come
I stand on the edge of a cliff
before steep waterfalls
they wait to devour me whole
when I take that great leap
