three steps forward
one step back
it was her life's story
in a short phrase
she wished she could
leave tears by the river
to float away and
drift into the seas
but nothing ever
came easy for her
like clockwork
happy days turn to sighs
oh how she wishes
the wheel that
turns, turns, turns
would just stop
