Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. I grab  my new phone and turn my alarm off. I groan as I look at the time. I feel tired, and yucky, and sleepy, and uh! It's 6:20. But today is going to be my first day as a sophomore. I remember that I am actually super excited, so I roll out of bed and walk over to my bathroom. I turn the shower on, letting the cold water fall onto me.

Once I'm out of the shower I blow dry my hair before straightening it. I put my top layer up into a bun as I straighten the bottom layer. Once I'm done with the bottom I take the bun out, straightening the top layer.

I trudge over to my closet and grab a maroon colored shirt and a pair of faded blue shorts. I take off my towel dress and shove it into the dirty cloths basket in my room, before changing into the outfit that I picked out.Once I'm dressed I apply makeup, which only consists of concealer, foundation, and mascara.

I return to my closet and grab two socks and my black high top converse. By now I feel awake and ready to start the day. I slip my socks on, only then do I realize that they are different colors. I don't mind though, my socks are almost never the same colors, I like them that way, it's unique. I finish putting on my shoes and put on a pair of gold stud earrings along with a dainty gold necklace before heading downstairs for breakfast.

I walk over to the  refrigerator and grab an apple, along with a cup of strawberry yogurt. Abbie and Spencer are both at the table eating waffles drenched in syrup. My mom is washing dishes while my dad sits at the table, sipping coffee and reading some lame article in the newspaper. It's basically just a normal morning at the Marshall house, except it's missing something.

My sister smiles,"do you guys want to hear a joke?" We all nod. She points at my brother."your face!"

Oh, there it is.

We all bust out laughing, except for my brother. The joke itself wasn't that funny but the way she said it was. Spencer just frowns, "You are a butt head."

My sister gasps as if he just said some horrible cuss word."Well you are a bumble bee!"

He snorts,"Is that supposed to be offensive?"

She nods and give him a 'duh' look." Yeah. Because bees are mean and so are you. There for you are a bumble bee."

My brother shrugs.Even though my brother is going into sixth grade today, he is extremely immature."Knock knock?"

My sisters eyes widen, reassuring that he has her full attention."Who's there."

My brother snorts at the joke he's about to tell, "me."

"Me who?" My sister and I ask at the same time.

"Me again!" My brother bursts out laughing and my sister isn't too far behind him. The joke wasn't funny at all but the all of the humor in the room makes me laugh along. My dad tells my sister a joke that has bad content and my mom slaps him on the arm. This only makes us laugh harder.

A good twenty minutes later I pull into the parking lot. I park my white Toyota, lock it, and put the keys into a small pocket in my backpack. The sun beats down on my back. If it wasn't for the cool wind that's blowing throughout the sky, it would be an incredibly hot day.

As I walk into the familiar school I pull out my phone and check the picture that contains my locker number. I am number 113. I stop by the office to turn in some last minute paper work that my mom finished last night.
