Chapter 5            *Xavier’s POV*

“Ready to go downstairs?” I ask Daniel as we finish putting on our clothes. We fucked a few times a week. It helps our hormones and helps get rid of stress.

“You went extra rough today. Anything wrong?” he asks me.

I shake my head. “Nothing. It’s just that Alex’s pack is joining ours.” I say with a shrug.

He nods, understanding. “Wanted one more good fuck in, eh?” he teases.

I laugh. “Oh yeah!” I joke. We walk down the stairs and towards the living room. “Jared where’s my-” I started to ask but I stopped instantly when I smelled an amazing scent. I look at the couch and there he was. He grew a few more inches since last time I saw him. I was taller now, though.

He looked towards me and froze. He was just staring at me as I stared at him. After a second I broke the trance. “Hey Peter.” I say as I look to his left. “Hey Alex.” I say, quieter.

He nods. “Hey Xavier.” he says softly. I look away but not before seeing his eyes cast downwards, looking at my body.

Peter looks at me. “Hey Xavier.” he says, sounding bitter.

“What’s wrong?” I ask him, confused.

He glances at me before looking away. “Nothing.” He says.

Jared snorts. “Like that’s nothing!” he yells. I look at him and raise an eyebrow. “You were fucking his mate.” He informs me.

I was confused until I look over at Daniel and see him looking at Peter. Understanding, I nodded. “Sorry Peter.” I say and then add, “How do you even know?” I ask.

“We walked in on you just then.” He tells me.

“‘We’?” I ask him.

He nods. “Alex and I walked in on y’all.” He says, warming up to me now after seeing Daniel practically ravishing him with his eyes.

Jared clears his throat. “I, uh, didn’t know y’all were getting frisky up there.” he tells me.

I scowl at him. “You know whenever we go to my room alone we fuck!” I yell angrily. I didn’t want my mate seeing me have sex with someone else.

I see Alex wince out of the corner of my eye. “Y’all do this a lot?” he asks quietly.
