Chapter 8

Stiles saw Cami staring up at Marcel. He was up on the balcony having a heated argument with Theirry and some of his inner circle surrounding them.

Klaus and Stiles walk over to her and the latter gave her a worried glance.

"Are you alright, angel?" Stiles asked as all three of them look up at the balcony.

"He's got a temper, doesn't he? I guess this is the moment I remember I know better." She said and looks down disappointed.

"Hey, at least you have one less heartbreak to handle," Stiles comforts her with a sympathetic smile.

"I know." She said and he hugged her goodbye before she left.

When she did, Josh came over and Klaus handed him the daylight ring spell. Josh left and they looked back up to see if the plan is working.

They saw Josh give the papers to Marcel and lying to him about finding it at the witch's store. It seemed the lie worked because Marcel looks extremely pissed at Thierry.

Stiles saw Klaus smirk and he said, "It now begins."

They saw Marcel and his inner circle coming down the balcony escorting Thierry to god knows where. As they leave the building, Klaus and Stiles trailed them.

Katie comes walking down in the middle of the street while chanting with her arms facing the vampires.

"Katie, no!" Theirry screams, frightened for the safety of his girlfriend.

"Like clockwork," Klaus mumbles with that evil smirk of his.

Katie chants angrily and the vampires drop to their knees, groaning while holding their head in pain. It seems like she was breaking their bones and giving them an aneurism. The vampires try to charge towards her but they end up falling back to their knees in excruciating pain.

Marcel finds the strength to come back up, growling, hitting his chest in attempts to seem dominant. Katie does the same thing to him and he falls back onto the floor.

Marcel once again arises and taunts her, "You're here to save your man. Well, come on, little girl."

Katie flinches for a moment. She had hesitated and Marcel took that chance to charge at her but Katie was quick enough to make him fall to the ground in pain before he could harm her.

"Die, you son of a bitch," Katie spat as she grabs his collar, holds a stake in the other hand ready to end him.

"No! Katie! Stop!" Thierry tries to warn her but she doesn't listen. As she is about to stake Marcel, Klaus vamps speed towards her and snap her neck. She falls to the ground, dead.

When Thierry gets his strength back he crawls over to her and starts sobbing over her corpse.

"No. Katie. No, no, no, no." He keeps repeating over and over again.

Marcel finally gets up and gives Klaus a nod in appreciation. Stiles walks over to Theirry and says, "I'm sorry. I know what it is like to lose someone important."

He just gives Stiles a nod and replies, "Thanks. I should have taken your words more seriously."

Stiles nodded in acknowledgment and walks back over to Klaus.
