Parade
The banners flew like hairs of color floating in the skies. People exuberantly march as if going to war. Skin painted with yellow and violet, red and pink. Faces smeared with tint and freedom. The chants were deafening, the energy infectious. All vibrantly fused for a single multicolored cry.
"Gay is OK." They shouted in unison.
I barely glanced at the tail of the parade.
"I'm gay... but I'm not OK."
