Hours

We shine our brightest together
and burst when our lips unite
like fireworks drifting farther
in the everlasting sky.

You take my hand forever
as we dance on sparkling lights.
We forget and we remember
when we try to stall the night.

Your eyes like burning ember
what truth they hold, they say.
The subtlety of your embrace
and the sternness of your stay.

The stars will be the first to know
as they hide in morning's ray.
You will leave me by tomorrow
and I will cherish yesterday.

You will leave me by tomorrowand I will cherish yesterday
