PredatorThere are moments when I feel
I'm more animal than man
and I can barely hold the truth
of what I amWhen the claws come out
and the screams become growlsAnd the fangs cut deep into my doubts
I look at you
Eye to eye
I look at you
And your face strikes me
like a shock collar taming the monster
I've become.Sending shivers
and quivers
and daggers
and knives.Pinning me down inside my own body.
Your smile comforts the waves
violently crushing my humanity. And the currents bubbling inside me
move towards one direction.Towards you.
And the ever growing voice inside my head
becomes whispers in the windThe growls and roars are no longer deafening.
As you caress me,
the scales and fur changes back to skinYearning for your warmth,
for your touch. The same touch that starts my madness
tames my nearly uncontrollable stateYou are the well that quenches my thirst.
The calm when I am about to burst.
For I am but a monster in
sheep's clothingAnd only you could undress me
and rip the filth I've covered my body withThe monster comes
and the monster goesThe monster strikes
deep and throughBut in all the skins I have come to put
and the savage things I have come to doMy instincts tell me to always run to you.
