They balanced each other out, Alaska and Caius. She was calm, soft, warm but still strong. He was the polar opposite. Quick to judge, irritable, arrogant and harsh. But they still worked, it was what made them so perfect. The first year they spent together was heaven, a missing puzzle piece finally found.

There was many things that Alaska couldn't do with her lack of sight. She struggled to find her way around the castle, she was constantly on someone's arm, mostly Caius. He refused to let her leave his sight for too long, like he was afraid she would disappear. Hence the reason he took over Willow's role as her caretaker. She couldn't dress or bathe herself, brush her mane of curls, let alone hunt. He helped with it all, never complaining. He even went a little too far, helping with things she could do alone, much to Alaska's amusement.

There were other things he did, things he didn't even think about, that made her smile and fall more for him everyday. He was constantly buying flowers, the castle was stuffed with flowers and plants, as they were her favorite things. He also began collecting classics translated into braille, so that she could read to him, something they enjoyed greatly.

Another more intimate thing, that was a little more on the surprisingly enjoyable side was Cause doing Alaska's hair. He enjoyed twisting and braiding and pinning it. Finding the perfect way to frame her face. Jane had even taught him how to use a straightener, even if it only made her hair wavy. (and only lasted an hr or so)

But they enjoyed it. The closeness and touches and the warmth of each other, so close and so innocent. But unlike some others...

*flashback*

It started out simple enough

With a simple wardrobe change and a simple walk in

Except it wasn't so simple. She wanted to try it. She knew it would be hard and she knew they would have to be slow and soft but she still did

He understood her needs and she understood his. They didn't have to try hard as the touch of each other was enough to give pleasure.

They spend most of the time wrapped in each other. Wrapped in joy, epiphany, the feel of their combining souls

It was heaven on earth. Enough to make both giddy with the happiness of those moments.

It was in those moments that both of their love was at it's peak.
