Chapter 2- Big Brother Takes Blame

Running. Thats what I've been doing for the past 2 hours. I want to be thorough. I don't need anyone finding me and dragging me to that hell they call a ball.
I've never been one for dresses and dances. It probably doesn't help I've never learned to dance. Also growing up with Kayden. He always put me in his clothes growing up to 'keep the damn males away'. He always was keeping me away from males. I guess that might be one reason I've never had a boyfriend, or even been with a guy.
I check my watch as I continue running. 8:30pm. The ball started half an hour ago. I'm at the east border right now. I wanted to get far from my family. Just until midnight. Then everyone will leave. I know what you're thinking. I'm being selfish. Hell yeah I am! I dont want a mate. It'll be like a ball and chain wrapped around my ankle keeping me grounded to one area that I'll never be able to leave.
I finally decide to sit down on a nearby boulder. I lay my head back and stare at the stars. I've always adored them. Everything about nature is my calling. I sat there for what felt like forever until I let the comforts of sleep consume me.

**(Kaydens POV)**
It's been 4 hours and still no sign of Blaire. Not that I'm complaining. I found her note. It was a smart plan. Plus I get to keep my baby sister for another year at least. But as a punishment because Mom thinks this was my idea. I had to go to this damn ball. The things I do for my sister.
I'm currently leaning on the snack table drinking a little whiskey. I'm not to thrilled to be here but anything for my sis.
There's a lot of packs here tonight. Grey Paw, Hallow Hill, Mangata, Tikkina, even Blood Moon Pack showed up. Making me more glad Blaire isn't here. No sign of the Alpha though. Which is strange. Alpha Everett is 23. He took over at a young age when his mother and father passed during a war a couple years ago. He's never been a nice Alpha. That's why his pack is most feared. Even so, he is a neighboring pack. His pack is on the eastern border, behind Mangata.
Just then I smell the most wonderful scent I've ever smelt.

**(???'s POV)**
I jump over the creek crossing into Moonlit Waters Pack. I had sent most of the males here already. I had some pack work to finish anyway.
I walk through the woods in black pants and a white dress shirt. Jackson insisted I wear something more formal to this event incase I meet my 'mate'. I doubt I will. I don't deserve one. Not after everything I've done. But as I keep walking I smell a scent that made me want to drown in it, and always have it as close to me as possible.

Can you guess who? I know I just updated earlier and don't excpect 2 updates every night. I just have time tonight. Also guess on Kaydens mystery scent? Any guess on what will happen to him or the mystery person?
