^Baby one more time by Britney Spears

Laying on Garret's bed and watching the guys struggle to make music was turning into one of my favorite past times. They had been rehearsing for the past hour and were just performing the same stuff as they always did. Village Inn had been fun and cheap considering the fact I didn't eat because the little bit of cereal I had combined with Brett's lips had sufficed me. Throughout the practice, Brett and I couldn't help but make delectable eye contact.

"Angelina! Get up here." That was the first thing that Garret had said to me that day! At first, I wanted to protest but, for some reason, I couldn't find it in me to argue. I just gave him a pouty look before I pulled myself off the bed. Truth was, I was remarkably bored.

"What are you listening to?" Garret asked noticing the earphone strung into my ear. I shook my head in embarrassment. "I'll pay you $10 if you sing what you're listening to." He pried.

"You don't want to know," I warned raising an eyebrow at the challenge.

"Yes, I do."  With that, he reached into his pocket to draw out a waded up bill that I assumed was the $10's. "You chicken?" His arrogance must have made me do it...

"Oh, baby baby!" I started swinging my hair around.

"Oh god," Dustin said making me break character for a second to smile.

"Oh baby baby, how was I supposed to know that something wasn't right here." I batted my eyelashes as I stood up from the bed.

" Oh, baby, baby. I shouldn't have let you go." I popped up and started stalking towards the microphone.

Swaying my hips for dramatic effect the whole time, "And now you're out of sight, yeah

Show me how you want it to be

Tell me, baby,

'Cause I need to know now, oh, because...

My loneliness is killing me" By now, I was holding the microphone stand and swinging it back and forth.

"I must confess, I still believe

When I'm not with you I lose my mind

Give me a sign

Hit me, baby, one more time."

"Britney spears is in the building," Brett commented as I snickered. Once again, our eyes met and I couldn't help but think about earlier when I was making out with him atop the kitchen counter.

"That'll be $10!" I said holding my hand out and putting my face down to try and hide the blush.

"What will it take for me to get you to become part of the band?" Garret spoke as he handed over the 10 dollars in defeat. Looking at Garret, he looked tired.

"A lot more than$10!" I said swaying my hips as I went back to the bed.

Seriously though, the thought had been burning in the back of my mind. A what if!? What if I did become a member of the band? Like what would be the worst that could happen if I picked it up as a hobby and tried? Spending time with my friends doing what we all loved? The best scenario would be us blowing up in fame and making this our full-time job!  The only thing that seemed to be holding me back, was me! If I wasn't so stage frightened, then I, in reality, would have already joined this amazing group of people!

My thoughts were quickly interrupted by the guys starting to play some of their own riffs they had came up with. I listened in intrigued by each of their styles and how they tried to get them to blend. I couldn't help but laugh when Garret and Brett started trying both of their completely different verses. I could sense that communication wasn't their strong suits as Brett began to try and make bass sounds with his mouth towards Garret.
