Chapter 2

After shopping with Trina, we hoped the subway to go back to her place. I was really enjoying hanging out with her, I've never had that relationship with someone... not even my own mom. We got to her apartment and Trina opened the door, we walked in and an older lady was sitting on a recliner watching some TV

"Hi granny" Trian said well kissing the women on the cheek

"Hi baby, who's this?" she asked looking at me

"granny that's my friend Jazmyn, Jazmyn that's my granny"

"Hi Ma'am," I said waving at the women

"Hi baby, don't be calling me no Ma'am. You can call me granny as well" she said getting up and hugging me

"Alright granny it is" I laughed

"I cooked, y'all can go get something to eat from the kitchen" granny said

"Alright, Jazmyn's going to sleep over tonight after the party" Trina said

"Mhhm, don't be out there acting fast Trina" she told her

"come on Jazzy" Trina said leading the way to her room

"You can take a shower and what not if you want" Trina told me once we got to her room

I went ahead and took a shower and Trina followed after I was done. My hair had been straight so I decided to curl  it up a little and put on some lip gloss since I would sweat my make up off anyway. Trina walked into the room in a cute red body Con dress with some black heels.

"Well Damn Tri you look good!" I said looking at her outfit

"Thank you, thank you.... With them curves you carrying baby girl you'll look just as fine" she said smiling

"I don't know about all that" I said looking down

"Who fucked you over to make you so self-conscious?" she asked

I just looked at her shocked

"Girl we all got some kind of hurt, I can tell you got some so who was it your mama?" she said

"Something like that"

"Sometimes parents do some fucked up shit.... When I was a baby my mama sold me for some crack, and a bottle of Hennesey, that's why granny takes care of me" she smiled " So don't let whatever fucked up shit your mama's got for you, mess your life up... now go get that dress on! Kirk will be here soon!" she said before leaving the room, making me smile

I put on a baby blue long sleeve body con dress with black lace, and a pair of spiked black heels. When I was done I took my black clutch out of my sleepover bag and put my phone in it.

"Ouuuu, Baby girl I don't swing that way but damn if I did!" Trina said standing at the door

I just laughed at her foolishness

"Come on girl Kirks here" she said

Once we said goodbye to granny, we headed down stairs to Kirks car. Trina sat in the front and I sat in the back

"We gotta get King, his car broke down" Kirk informed us

"That boy needs to stay his ass at home before he messes with Shaniqua  again" Trina said

"Leave the man be," Kirk said

"But -"

"Nah stop Trina, the man is going to do what he wants, I know you care about him like your brother but the man is grown don't baby his ass" Kirk said causing Trina to kiss her teeth

We pulled up to a small house and King walked out to the car and got into the back next to me. I pulled out my phone when it started ringing; it was my mom..... shit I forgot to tell Linda I wouldn't be home, I clicked answer.
