Chapter 5

When I woke up I came face to face with King's hard chest.... damn was that a sight to wake up to. I reached under the pillow and got my phone out to see what time it was.

"Shit" I whispered

It was already 10:00 pm and I had 12 missed calls from Carter, I was supposed to go out with him today to see his mama! I had 2 text messages from Trina, and 1 from CeCe.

CeCe: Ouu, y'all are doing the nasty huh!!!!

Trina: Don't make me an auntie to early girl!

Trina: I wanna go shopping tomorrow, you interested?

I quickly texted Trina back before I started to get out of bed, King's strong arms wrapped around my waist and brought me back to his chest. 

"Where you going?" he asked sleepily

"I have to call Carter because I stood him up by accident and I didn't want to wake you" I said getting back in the same position I was before

"Just call him here then" he said simply

"mmk"

I dialed his number and waited for a reply

"So we standing each other up now"

"I dare your ass to stand me up, but nah it wasn't even like that... I fell asleep and only just now woke up"

"Mhhmm"

"It's the truth Carter"

"Then why when I got to your school your little hood rat friends made sure to tell me you went with kings ass, do you know what that motherf*cker does ?" he yelled into the phone

I had to do a double take of my home screen, who the hell this boy thinks he's talking to, I had to sit up for this shit as King finally released my waist. 

"I don't know where the hell all that anger has come from but you need to put it in a damn box, Don't ever talk about my friends like that! Don't worry what I'm doing with King, Carter I said I fell asleep and that's the truth-" I was cut off by king taking my phone

"My man, I better not ever hear your ass raise your voice at my girl again or that'll be the last thing that comes out of your damn mouth, I can promise you that" King said before hanging up the phone. 

He laid back down and took me with him, letting me get comfortable on his chest. 

"I shouldn't have forgot" I said lowly

"It doesn't matter" King said to me

"It does, and I should go home its late"

"Nah you're good," He said tightening his hold.

We slowly fell back to sleep wrapped up in each other.

The next morning King had dropped me home so I could change and shower. I had agreed to go shopping with Trina, and we were going to finish our Christmas shopping. We would meet up with everyone tonight for dinner, I was grateful it was finally the weekend. 

"Linda I don't know when I'll be back" I said coming down stairs where Linda was in the kitchen, with an overnight back so I could stay at King's. 

"Well sit and talk to me sweetie, I feel like I haven't seen you in weeks" she said smiling

"What do you wanna know?"

"Well for starters the boy who dropped you off"

"Oh that's King, He and I aren't together " I said shrugging not wanting to give to much away
