When I awoke I was laying on the bed in the nurses office, Oliver talking with the nurse softly in the corner as not to disturb me.

"Ollie?" I say quietly. His head snaps in my direction.

"Hey, Peyton." He comes over and helps me sit up. "Do you remember what happened?" He asks. The nurse leaves the room for a minute.

"I was in math. Someone was arguing with the teacher. Really loudly." I say before looking at him. I picked at the cast on my arm. We're going in tomorrow to get it off. "I ran to the hallway and I don't remember anything after that."

"Okay, you blacked out. Too much air." He tells me. That made sense. "How are you feeling now?" He asks looking at me. I shrugged my shoulders. The nurse comes back in.

"Hey Peyton, I'm Nurse Wilson." She hands me the cup in her hands. "How ate you feeling right now?" She sits in the chair next to the desk.

"Tired?" I shrug my shoulders.

"Well, if it's okay with you father you can either go home for the rest of the day or you can go to class." I look to Oliver.
"What do you want to do?" I ask.

"Why don't you come with me? You can have a better day tomorrow." He says before standing up and helping me up. I nod and I get a pass. I get my books and my bag from my locker. As we were walking back to the front we pass Maya who gives me a big hug.

"Peyton, what happened?"

"I don't have the best past, Someone was yelling at Mr. Davis and it freaked me out a bit. I passed out and they called my father." I say. Maya looks at my father.

"Wait, your dad is Oliver Queen?" I nod.

"Please, can we just keep this between us. I don't want anyone treating me different because he's my dad."

"Of course." She gives me a hug before I push her to in the direction she was walking.

Oliver and I continue our walk down the hall and out of the school.

"Why don't you come with me to the club for a bit? I have a little bit of work to finish up and one meeting. You have stuff to do right?" He asks. I nod and we get into the car. Diggle sat in the driver's seat and smiled at me.

"Feeling okay, Peyton?"
"Yea, thanks JD." I say. JD is the nickname I gave him. He only lets me call him that.
"JD?"
"Mini queen is the only one allowed to call me that." He puts the CD in the stereo and presses play as we dive out of the school parking lot. Oliver looked at both me and Diggle as the music starts to play through the speakers.

So this is what you meant

When you said that you were spent

And now it's time to build from the bottom of the pit, right to the top

Don't hold back

Packing my bags and giving the Academy a rain check

I don't ever want to let you down

I don't ever want to leave this town

'Cause after all

This city never sleeps at night

It's time to begin, isn't it?

I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit

I'm just the same as I was

Now don't you understand

I'm never changing who I am

So this is where you fell

And I am left to sell

The path to heaven runs through miles of clouded hell right to the top

Don't look back

Turning to rags and giving the commodities a rain check

I don't ever want to let you down

I don't ever want to leave this town

'Cause after all

This city never sleeps at night

It's time to begin, isn't it?

I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit

I'm just the same as I was

Now don't you understand

I'm never changing who I am

It's time to begin, isn't it?

I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit

I'm just the same as I was

Now don't you understand

I'm never changing who I am

This road never looked so lonely

This house doesn't burn down slowly

To ashes

To ashes

It's time to begin, isn't it?

I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit

I'm just the same as I was

Now don't you understand

I'm never changing who I am

It's time to begin, isn't it?

I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit

I'm just the same as I was

Now don't you understand

I'm never changing who I am

I sing out each line happily. We get to the Club and I talk with Tommy for a bit before working on some homework.

After Oliver finished, we went home and I spent the rest of the day hanging out with Oliver and we watched The Avengers with all of my sarcastic comments. It was fun to just hang out with Oliver and eat popcorn. It was nice.

The next day I got my cast off at 10. Oliver picked me up and I got the clunky cast off of my arm. I got back to school just in time for band class. I could finally play the bassoon after a month and a half.  Mr. Zeman, my band director, had me play for the class to show my skills.

I played my solo from last year. Gavotte and Hornpipe by Henry Purcell. The group clapped and we went onto the other music that I finally got to play. I still have a big ass clunky brace on my wrist but it's better than the cast.

Diggle picked me up from school and dropped me off. The maids were there so I wasn't alone for the afternoon. I pulled my bow case with my arrows out and my target. I have about 25 arrows that are competition regulation and 15 from going hunting with my friends dad during bow season.  I would shot all my arrows before retrieving them.

After a few hours Thea came home and found me outside and watched me. Oliver joined her and then Moira. Walter had gone on a business trip. I shot all of my arrows and retrieve them. Oliver walked over to me and looked at the target. My target head was almost completely worn out in some places.

"That's really good Peyton." He tells. I hand the bow to him and have him shoot with it. He was okay. Sometimes he would get really close to the center but then others would go 5 feet behind the target. Thea came down closer and watched Oliver shoot. I passed the bow to Thea, who for the first two sets of arrows got 3 on the target. By the time we were called into the house for dinner, Thea was getting most of them on the target. I was having fun in my new family.
