Chapter 18

Parts of this are based off of some AO3s that I found and I really love. I added my own twist to it with Peyton being in this story. Credits to the original creators.

I stayed overnight at a friends house knowing that Oliver was going to propose to Barry. They were going to keep it a secret for a while. I don't think that it's a very good idea but I'm just a 13 year old kid.

When I came home Barry and my dad were both shirtless and cooking in the kitchen. Oliver had scratches and some small bruises on his back and chest.

"Shirts please." I say covering my eyes.

"Shit." Barry swears and blushes before speeding off to get a shirt and returning a shirt on and one in his hands for my dad. "Sorry, Pey." He gives me a hug and I see the ring on his hand.

"Let me see it." I demand the speedster.

"See? See what?" He stammers looking at Dad in panic.

"She knows Bear." he tells the frightened brunette.

"Oh." Barry let's me see his hand. It's a silver band with a square green emerald in it. I grabbed my dad's hand seeing a glint and compare them. Oliver's was the same but with a ruby instead of the emerald.

I nod approving at Dad before pulling them both into a hug. Barry is a hugger and Oliver not at all. He let's me hug him because I'm his daughter and lets Barry because he loves him.

"How are you going to keep it a secret. We have Thea and Felicity here who would notice straight away and then Cisco and Caitlyn in Central."

"We are going to wear them on a necklace for a while until we decide to tell them."

"Joe and Iris are going to kill both of you." I say. "And Thea." They nod and I move to my room to drop off my bag. Barry was dealing with reverse Flash and we were dealing with the League of Assassins.

"Guys look." Felicity says turn the TV on in the Foundry. It was Central City. A wormhole opened up and we saw lightning streak up inside it. Barry. Dad grabbed the chain hidden under his shirt.

"What are you still doing here?" Thea aimed at her brother. "Both of you." She looked at me.

"What? It's Barry I'm sure he's fine."

"Your Fiance just ran into a wormhole and you don't go a visit him."

"Barry isn't-" He starts.

"We know that you are dating. Don't try to lie to us." Felicity says looking at him very pointedly.

"How?" Dad questions.

"Behavior, A streak coming to Star City like 3 times a week." Felicity offers smiling like a weirdo.

"The smell of lightning outside your door." Thea interjects.

"Plus we saw the ring." Diggle offers. That explains it. They saw the ring and figured it out from there.

They push both of us out the door and we get on the motorcycle and drive to Central City. I knew that the thing with Reverse Flash was causing a problem with Barry.

Barry POV

Wells offered me the choice to go back in time a save my mom. I could save her but never live with Joe or Iris. I might not ever meet Cisco, Caitlin, Ronnie or even Oliver and Peyton.

"...You saved a lot of people this past year. Now it's time to save yours." Joe's voice says telling me to go save my mother. I try talking to my dad.

My dad says that I shouldn't my foster dad says that I should. I moved to the roof to go up and think and Iris found me.

"I mean, you'd get to see your mom again, your dad, have a great career, even get married." The ring under my shirt burned the chain feeling like it was a thousand pounds pulling on my neck. I looked to Iris so tempted to tell her about me and Oliver. I almost told my dad when he told me about his dream for having me become a father. I feel like Peyton is my daughter and I really want to feel. "Iris West-Allen, Never though of much of a hyphenator myself."

"We don't know that that's going to happen." I say hoping that nothing will happen between me and Oliver that we break off the engagement. "Growing up together, knowing everything about each other, made it hard for me to admit how I'd felt about you. I don't think I feel the same way that I did back then. Living with you and Joe... I've had a great life Iris." I finally tell her that I don't feel the same way that I did a year and a half ago.

I decided, I was going to go back in time to save my mom and get rid of Wells. When we discussed it and Cisco would make a time machine, I left to write a letter for Oliver and Peyton. I don't want to die and have them not know what I was attempting.

The next day Caitlin and Ronnie decided to get married before everything went down. They kissed and I looked down. I didn't want to be doing this and not tell Oliver or Peyton that I was going to do this. If I'm successful, I might not ever meet them, meet Ollie. We clap and the rest of the night goes on. The letters for Oliver and Peyton were sitting on my table in the apartment here in Central, they would find them If I died.

I hugged everyone before doing running and doing everything. I touched the ring under my shirt once I was out and not visible from anyone.

I let my mom die and I talked to her and cried slightly. I came back to my time just as Wells was trying to leave.

I began to fight Wells. Tossing each other into walls and bashing each other.

"Just so we're clear. After I kill you, I'm going to kill them. And then I'm going to kill your father, and Oliver then that sweet little girl of his. I always win, Flash." He was choking me.

"No." I managed out. I knew I was seconds away from passing out He pulled back to punch me when a shot rang out.

"Stay away from my son." Joe says. Crimson spread over the yellow leather. He gave out a wet cough before falling letting me go. I fell to the other side away from him grabbing at my neck. I could feel the bruises already forming on either side.

"I've controlled your life for song long, Barry. How will you get along without me?" He coughed another wet cough before shuddering his last breath. The wormhole was reopening and I had to get everyone out. I ran Joe, Cisco and Eddie back to safety.

"What's it doing?" Cisco asked. My lungs burned and I felt dizzy but I had to do something.

"Feeding. The singularity won't stop even after Earth is gone." Everything was being caught up into it.

"We have to disrupt the motion. Basically it's like the tornado, only upside down. And bigger." I yell. "And scarier."

"Barry, that event has an energy level of at least 6.7 tera electron volts. It cannot be stopped." Stein says

"I have to try." I say before putting my cowl up and running into the black hole. "I'm sorry Ollie." I saw firestorm move past to go and stop the singularity. I got the professor down before passing out. The choking and then the running wasted all of my energy. Joe caught me and helped move me inside of STARR Labs.

3rd person

They set Barry down on one of the gurneys before stripping Barry of his suit. A chain around his neck caused everyone to pause. A silver ring with an emerald in it was linked in the chain.

"Is that an engagement ring?" Cisco asks aloud stopping completely. Caitlin paused only for a moment before working again to get Barry to safety.

"Focus Cisco." Joe watched and wondered who is Barry dating? How hadn't they known? Did Henry know? Who Proposed to his son?

They got Barry into the safe zone for everything, glucose levels, heart rate and oxygen. Bruising around his neck made everyone worry.

The team put him in a private room and waited for him to awake.
