Jason's POV

Me, my brother Damien, my best friend Isaac pulled up to Jonny Velga's club Lust right on time. Jonny was behind on payments, so my father Niccolo sent us down here to Atlanta to collect. I breathed in the humid night air of Atlanta deeply. Memories of this town hit me hard. So hard that I rubbed over my chest to dull the ache in my hurt.

It hurt to think about her sometimes. And by sometimes I mean all the time. I wasn't the same without her. She had shattered me. I was beyond repair. She was the only woman I ever loved. Hell, I still do love her. Nothing could change that. She would always be the only one.

Sometimes I wondered what she would think of the man I've become. A cold-hearted man whore. I've had so many women that I couldn't count them all. My mother wants me to settle down with someone. However, I find that very unlikely.

I shook my head clear before getting out of my car. Damien and Issac were right behind me as we walked in. I scanned the club looking for Velga or one of his sons. That's when I looked over at the bar and met eyes with her. It's been so long since I've seen her, but it didn't matter how long we've been apart, I could pick her out of any crowd. However, what's she doing working here?

It angered me that she did. My girl didn't need to work. And she definitely didn't need to work in a place like this. Moments later I came to the sad realization. She's not my girl anymore.

She looked the same. Except maybe her hips were a little wider. Though that's not saying much seeing as she was always on the thicker side. Her angel-like face hadn't changed either. But her eyes, those beautiful brown eyes that always gave away that she grew up much too early in life, they now had a certain gleam to them, and I desperately want to know what it is that put it there, I pray in my heart it's not another man. I remember when we first met. Her eyes were the first thing I noticed about her.

Flashback

I walked through the halls of South Atlanta High School. I noticed three things almost immediately. One: I was probably the only white guy in the school. Two: there were a lot more people in this school than the private school I went to back in New York. And finally three: Her and her chocolate eyes. She was beautiful. Her thick hips and sienna brown skin and long black hair.

She looked like an angel with her round face and full lips. Her doe eyes were a deep brown that I couldn't look away from. She was about 4"10. She was talking to another girl that was slightly taller and darker than her. The closer I got, the more I needed to talk to her. But how?
I kept walking towards her as our eyes met once again. She smiled at me and I almost froze. 'Damn she's gorgeous' I thought. I smiled back at her. At last, I was within reaching the distance of her.

"Hi," she said, still smiling.

"Hello," I smirked, taking her hand in mine, bringing it to my lips. "I'm Jason... And you are?"

"Tiana." She blushed.

End of Flashback

I also remember the last time I talked to her. Back when she tore my heart out. When she shattered me.

Flashback

I laid on my bed waiting for Tiana to call me. It's 6:00, and she still hasn't called me. She usually calls at 5:30 and hangs up at 8:00. I looked at my phone again. 6:01 and still nothing. Maybe she went shopping with Viv. I'm trying to think nothing of it. Tiana would be late for her funeral. I sighed and banged my head on my head on the pillow.

"Maybe she's studying" Isaac spoke, never looking up from his laptop, as he typed his Human Geo paper.

"Yeah... Maybe"

I turned over onto my side and closed my eyes. Maybe she'll call tomorrow. Just as I was about to fall asleep my phone started ringing.

"Hello," I answered.

"Can we talk," Tiana answered.

"Uhh yeah," I mumbled. "What's wrong Bambina?"

"I... I think we should um, um"

"Just say it, Tiana." I huffed.

"I think we should break up," she whispered into the phone.
I laughed. She has to be joking, but she wants laughing thought...

"What are you talking about?" I demanded.

"I just think that it would be better if we had time apart." She breathed.

"What the fuck is time apart" I yelled in anger.

"I just need to focus on school right now. And you would just be a distraction right now"

I paused for a second, really taking in what she said and how she said.

There was something she wasn't telling me. "You're lying to me." I deadpanned "Please just tell me what's going on.

"It's just about school Jason. There's no other reason."

"Is there someone else"

"No!" She cried "I mean there's no one else"

"Please, Bambina..." I pleaded "I love you."

"I have to go" The line went dead.

End of Flashback

I watched as she walked around the club serving drinks and food. I've seen a few men get too grabby with her, but she dodged them all. She talked to the bartender every few minutes. Then I saw her slap one of Jonny's sons across the face.  He dragged her out the back door. I got up to follow them, but Damien put his hand on my shoulder."Where ya going birthday boy?" he boomed.

"Keep your voice down," I grunted,  "and i'm going to get some air"
I walked out the back to see Tiana on the ground holding her cheek and Alec (I think), speaking down to her with an angry expression and a venomous tone,

"I'm going to find a better use for that mouth of yours." He growled.

Tiana's POV

The whole time I was making my rounds I could feel Jason's eyes on me. They followed me when I was dodging grabby customers. When I was set down the tray and turned, Alec was right there in front of me.

"Yes, Alec is there something I can do for you." I rolled my eyes

"Come hang with me after your shift." He breathed trying to be sexy.

"I can't," I said pushing past him only for him to grab me by the arm and pull me back.

"You know something. I'm tired of you turning me down slut." He growled. I snatched my arm away and slapped him so hard his head turned.

His face contorted in anger as he reclaimed my arm. He pulled out the back door before slapping me to the ground.

"I'm going to find a better use for that mouth of yours." He spat out.

"Are you?"
