Jason's POV

We're heading towards the state line when my phone rings. I feel my heart rate increase as I see Tia's name flash across my screen. I answer without hesitation, needing to hear her sweet, angelic voice.

"Bambina!?! Are you okay?! Is Aiden with you?! Did they hurt you?!" I fire off question after question, feeling my blood pressure rise and my heart slam against my chest.

"Hello, Jason." I hear a foreign yet familiar voice speak through the phone.

".... Candice?" I say in an unsure voice.

"Where's my family?" I growl out.

"Calm down Jason. They're fine, but I need you to listen to everything I say to you." She instructs in a calm voice.

"I'm already on my way and Elaine has already told me everything," I tell her calm.

"Well, that means that I don't have to move them." Candice says in a very nonchalant voice.

"So what's the plan?" I ask.

"How far are you away from the location?"

"Our ETA is about thirty minutes."

"Then the plan is for me to stall them as long as I can. Aiden and Tiana are being held in the basement of the house. There are two guards at the front gate and another two at the door. There's a guard at both Tiana and Aiden's door. Stephan and Iov will be coming downstairs as soon as you bust in so be prepared-"

"Stephan who?" My father asks, cutting Candice off.

"Stephan Giovanni." Candice and Elaine say in unison

Niccolo's POV

"That fucking bastard!" I yell, slamming my hand on the steering wheel and swerving the car in anger.

"Dad!" Jason admonished, giving me a glare. "Do you know this man?"

"Yeah, I know him." I hiss

"Who is he?"

"He's your mother's father."

***ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES LATER***

Arriving at the location early Jason and I wait for Candice's call while waiting in a wooded area half a mile away from where Tiana and Aiden are being held. Jason's loading up the guns with Tristan while Elaine begins to stir awake, which is good because it won't be long before she is given everything she deserves.

While we wait I thought about Stephan Giovanni. I thought I took care of that bastard when I married Gina. The fucker thought he could gain from the Dellucci last name, but he thought wrong. The first discrepancy was that he mistreated his family. He destroyed Gina's self-esteem and turned his wife into an alcoholic. The second discrepancy is that he's messy and reckless, two things I don't tolerate and neither did my father. He went around dealing guns to everyone without discrimination and that's a huge no-no. He sold guns to enemies of the family, military, police, terrorist organizations and even sold them to children in some cases. He was greedy and sloppy and gave two fucks about being discrete.
