Jason's POV

The zoo was the best. Aiden looked very happy and Tia was happy too, due to not being able to do something like this often. I just hate that she's been overworking herself to provide for Aiden when she didn't have to. Even though we were young, I wouldn't have just abandoned them, and it hurts that she didn't trust me to take care of them. However, since we're going to talk today, hopefully, we can just find the best way to move on.

'This is going to be one long conversation' I thought.

"Are you hungry kiddo?" I asked Aiden who was holding Tia's hand as we walked to the car. We were at the zoo for at least three hours, and we did a lot of walking, so I figured they were both hungry.

"Yes sir." He answered politely.

"What should we do for lunch, Bambina?" I asked Tia who had a content smile on her face.

"I don't know," she shrugged. "I'm feeling Popeye's," she suggested.

"That does sound good," I replied not even able to think of the last time I've eaten fried chicken. Once I started college, I just ate TV dinners and when I moved back to New York I just moved back home, so I ate over there all the time. They didn't complain seeing as I was away for a long time.

"Well, Popeye's it is." She said putting Aiden in the car.

I opened the door for her and then got in the car. I pulled out of the parking lot and Tia turned on the radio, and Caretaker- by D.R.A.M came on. "I like this song," Tia mentioned softly.

I just smiled and took her hand in mine once again. We drove to her eatery of choice, and went through the drive-through. "Welcome to Popeye's. May I take your order?" A voice asked.

"What do you want, Bambina?" I asked her.

She looked at the menu for a moment before saying, "I just want a two-piece with fries." She said before leaning back in her chair again and closing her eyes.

I looked back to ask Aiden what he wanted to eat, but he was asleep. So I just decided to order for him. "I'll take two, two pieces, both with just legs and fries, and one small chicken tender meal with fries," I ordered.

"And what would you like to drink?"

"Um, two large sprites and a small Hi-Ci." I finished.

"Ok that will be $15.55 at the window"

I took my wallet out and drove up to the window, to see a teenaged boy at the window. He read us back the order before giving me the total again. I handed him a twenty and waited for my change.

"Your food will be at the next window." He said giving me my change back.

After we got our food I drove to the hotel and parked in the front, where a valet was waiting. "You grab the food, and I'll get Aiden," I told Tia. She nodded before grabbing the food and hopping out of the car. I grabbed Aiden out of the back before handing the keys and a $40 tip to the valet.

"Put him down Jason. He can walk." Tia commanded.

"He's fine, Bambina," I said, rolling my eyes.

"No Jason let his ass walk." She argued.

"And I said that it's fine Bambina," I said firmly.

She gave me a look but didn't argue any further, which made me smirk. 'That's what I thought' She just huffed and stomped towards the entrance. I laughed and followed her. When I caught up with her, I made sure to interlock our hands together.
