I could feel the rim of my eyes water and get blurry. I didn't hold back, I told him I loved him.

"Maya.. I told you not to fall in love with a nigga like me. I can't give you what you want, you knew this from the beginning and you still fucked with me."

"Well, I'm sorry Abel I have fucken feelings that I can't control. Just forget everything, I gotta go."

I haven't seen or heard from Abel since that night at the club. I was more guarded since I told him that I loved him. He didn't want me so fuck it, I'm just going to do what I was doing before he came in my life.

While laying on my sofa watching cartoons I got a text from Sean asking to take me out to lunch. I was hesitant because I knew he wasn't my type but I had time to kill before work so I agreed to meet him at a restaurant downtown.

Keeping it casual I wore a gray oversized sweater top, black ripped up skinny jeans and a pair of black heels. Getting to the restaurant Sean waited for me outside the place. We were seated and since I've never been to this restaurant and looking at the menu it was pretty expensive.

"What is this stuff Sean? When you said lunch I was thinking sandwiches, burger and fries"

This menu had French cuisines way too fancy for my taste.

"Don't worry Simaya I'll order the best for you"

Ugh this fucken guy is trying too hard already. Don't get me wrong Sean is a nice guy but he was born rich and flaunted it which I didn't like.

"Thanks, I'll be right back I need to use the ladies room"

I made my quick escape to the restroom as I was about to walk in Abel was coming out. This place really would have unisex restrooms.

"Hey"

His mellow voice sent goosebumps down my back.

"Hi"

I replied nonchalantly.

"I didn't know you liked French food"

"There's a lot of things you don't know about me. And I really don't care for this kind of food"

Feeling him glare at me made me nervous, I was acting like a bitch when I should act like I don't care about him being here.

"If you don't like it why are you here?"

His eyebrows furrowed together waiting for me to reply.

"I came with someone, a lunch date I guess"

"Oh, that makes two of us then"

Great, now I gotta see Abel with his girlfriend in front of me. He might not give a fuck about me but how was I suppose to be okay seeing him with someone else?

"Oh well enjoy your meal with your date, bye"

As soon as I went into the restroom I texted Amina and told her to call me in 30 minutes so I could pretend I had to work early and cut this lunch date short. I couldn't stay at this place especially now knowing Abel was nearby. After a couple of minutes I walked back to our table.
