Unsurprisingly as people were awaiting news on Merlyn, Gaius' chambers had some visitors. Morgana was sat with Gwen at the table that was centred in the middle of the chambers whilst Leon and Arthur were stood off to the side, Arthur pacing his way into the floor it seemed. A variety of other knights and servants had asked for Leon and Gwen to receive news on Merlyn for them – Merlyn had a lot of friends within Camelot. Everyone was still flabbergasted as to what had happened with Sigan and how the possessed spirit they had heard about was defeated. Leon had his suspicions but the truth was he was more bothered about Arthur and Merlyn. Through Arthur's stupidity Merlyn had almost died ... again!

"What is taking so long?" Arthur grumbled for about the fourteenth time in the last hour.

"What I want to know is why you keep pushing Merlyn away, don't listen to her when she is right and why you won't just admit you have feelings for her" Leon mumbled back, really wanting to be able to say his feelings out loud. What the knight didn't realise was the prince had heard him.

"What?" Arthur asked. Leon's eyes shot up at Arthur's question. Clearly, Arthur wanted the truth. Sighing the knight, shrugged his shoulders before he quietly (so that Morgana and Gwen didn't hear) explained.

"I know you have been avoiding Merlyn, putting some distance between yourself and her so that she won't give up her life for you again. But here we are: you pushed her away and still she ends up in her chambers unconscious" Leon stated causing Arthur to look back towards Merlyn's chamber door that was still shut tight. "Arthur she will always risk her life for Camelot, she's as bad as you for it. And all you have managed to do over the last few months has been to make both your lives miserable and you have left her without your protection. You've hurt her for nothing." Leon's words cut deep. He didn't like the idea that everything he had done was for nothing but how could he argue back? Leon was right ... and Arthur behaviour might well have pushed Merlyn too far. As Leon's words rumbled around Arthur's head, the prince finally realised that he might have done some damage he couldn't fix. What had he done?

With a great effort Merlyn opened her heavy eyelids. Immediately, Merlyn recognised her own room's ceiling, however, she could not recall how she got into her bed. Everything was blank. Frowning the young witch tried to remember anything but all she could bring up was the moment Sigan had began to take over her body, she vaguely could hear Arthur calling for her but that was it. She had no idea what happened to Sigan or Arthur or the gargoyles.

"How are you?" a voice suddenly asked. Merlyn's eyes snapped over to Gaius who was sat beside her bed in a chair from his chambers. Merlyn just frowned at her mentor in that moment, her worries clouding her mind.

"I'm alright, tired" Merlyn said before she asked the question she needed an answer to. "Gaius, what happened?"

"You don't remember?" he asked shocked, it was never a good thing when someone had memory loss of any kind.

"No" Merlyn admitted, "I remember going to Kilgharrah ... finding Arthur unconscious in the square ... I started to say the spell as Sigan took control of me ... then I-I don't know." Merlyn did not like not knowing something so important. Did she beat Sigan? Did anyone see her? Was Arthur alive?

"Sir Leon found you unconscious clasping the heart-stone that had returned to its original blue colour with Sigan's soul trapped inside. He also found Arthur but the prince was waking up in his own, he's fine. Uther has sealed Cornelius' tomb, you won" Gaius explained with a proud grin of his face. Merlyn sighed in relief at the old man's words. She didn't know how, but she had done it, she had beaten Sigan and saved Camelot again.
