The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 24

    

Katie's POV:

     Amanda, Rebecca, and I were going shopping-definitely not my idea- and we were going to look at the baby stuff. Mainly, because Rebecca had a baby girl a few weeks ago and she needed some more stuff.

     It's been about three months since we got the news and I am apparently due any day now. I didn't care that Cashton was a werewolf, I was really surprised however when he told me about how short my pregnancy was gonna be. But I didn't care, I loved him and I knew he would help me through it.

     About three hours later, Rebecca finally let us leave. Which was good thing considering it had only been three hours. She is such a shopaholic that we usually can't leave until about six hours in, no joke.

     We got home, and as soin as I stepped out of the car, a pair of arms wrapped around me. From the tingles, I knew it was my mate, so I calmed my racing heart and leaned into him. But as soon as Rebecca saw, she just shewed him away, telling him that I was needed.

     I tried to silently plead with him to not let me go, but he only smiled, telling me I would be fine. Then started walking back into the house to finish his work. Which I understood.

     Amanda, decided to just go to just bail and go to her mate, smirking when she saw my glare.

     "So Katie, is the baby a boy or a girl?" Rebecca asked, impatiently waiting for an answer.

     "It's a girl."

     "Do you already have a name picked out?"

     "No, I wanna wait until I can hold her, I feel that that would be the only thing I can do in order to pick the perfect name."

     "I understand that. I did the same thing coming up with Octavia's name."

     "Really? I didn't know that, I thought yo-" Was as far as I had gotten until a sharp pain came through stomach. I looked down to see what was wrong, and noticed a puddle of liquid.

     Uh, Cash, I said hesitantly through our personal link.

     What is it Angel?

     My water broke, and Rebecca is flipping out and it hurts too much to move. I say hurriedly, already feeling beads of sweat on my forehead.

     I'm on my way.
