The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 27

    

Katie's POV:   (10 years later...)

     "Dexter, Alice, and Brian" I yelled. "Get out of that cookie jar right now or you get no playtime with your dad!"

     After that statement, the three of them immediately put the jar back in the cabinet and ran out of the kitchen.

     "Sorry mommie." My three children yelled.

     I just sighed and went to finish the breakfast dishes. Halfway through, a pair of arms wrapped around me. I tensed, but then immediately relaxed when I felt the sparks.

     "Hey, baby. How are you and the kids doin?" He asks then burying his face in my neck end inhaling my scent.

     For some reason, when he asked that, it made me think about everything that had happened since I met him. I thought about the day we first met when it was my first day at a new school. Him telling me about him being a werewolf and his expression when I had automatically accepted it. Then there was the time we had Dexter, which then brought me to the memory of him askin me to marry him. I thought about our amazing wedding and and us having Brian and Alice.

     All these memories boiled down to one thing. My life became a whole lot better ever since he walked into it. He made me happier as well as made sure to spend time with me and the kids no matter how much work he had to get done.

      So, with that, I turned around and put my arms around his neck before saying, "We're great, especially since you are here."

     He smiled and kissed me softly before saying, "Yep, I'm here. And I'm stayin. I ain't going anywhere."

     We just smiled and kissed each other one more time. "Daddy, can you come play with us Dexter, Alice, and Brian said in unison."

     "My work is never done." He chuckled. He gave me one last kiss, then he went to the kids playroom.

     Yeah, my life definitely got better when I became the Alpha's Mate.
