I've spent the whole night and most of today thinking about what Aaron said, and I still don't agree with him, and I'm definitely leaving.
Life hasn't turned out how I thought it would, so it's time to make new plans — I've already booked my ticket and packed my suitcase, and tomorrow I'm leaving for India.
I've been reading this article online, Thirty places to visit in India before you're thirty — it promised that it would be a life-changing experience, and that was just what I needed.
I wanted to visit Goa and soak up the sun on its beaches during the day followed by getting wasted on cheap alcohol and partying by night.
And sleep under the stars in Ladakh.
Who wouldn't want to visit one of the New Seven Wonders? The spectacular symbol of love is what the website called the Taj Mahal, and I have to admit it looked a million times better than that teddy bear Ben had bought for me.
Before I came home, I could head to the river Ganges and wash away my sins because that's what I was aiming to do anyway, right?
Happy Independence Day to me.
Countdown to India is on.
