Aria's POV

Penelope and the rest of the Alvarez family rushed into Schneider's apartment, while I sat on the couch, eating.

"Hi?" I asked, confused

"You got five minutes to pack. I need someone to mediate between Alex and Elena on our trip and your the only option." Penelope said, pushing me to my room

"Does Schneider know?" I asked, throwing stuff in a bag.

"Who cares? We'll call him in the car." She shrugged, pushing me out of the apartment

I struggled to hold my bag on my shoulder as I was manhandled down the hall and into the Alvarez vehicle

I squished between Alex and Elena, in the middle seat, as they quickly began to argue over everything and anything

"I didn't sign up for this!" I screamed at both of them

They both paused for a moment, turning to me, before yelling at me as I began to do the same in return

"Hey!" Penelope snapped, shutting us all up.

A few moment of silent go by, but we were still stuck in miles of traffic. Alex and I were furiously texting back and forth, as we fought over who got the window seat on the way home.

I told him I deserve it because I had to sit in the middle on the way here. He thinks he deserve it because, "the natural light makes his hair look better"

"Lupe... I think we should have taken another way to San Diego." Lydia groaned, glancing out the window

"Really, Mami? Because I picked this route just so we can sit next to the power plant that looks like boobs for half an hour!" Penelope yelled, "It's okay. It's all gonna be worth it."

Another car honked at her and she rolled her eyes, "Look at this guy behind us all mad at me. What? What, dumbass? Oh, my blinkers on."

"Callow. Juvenile and immature. And look, it's a picture of you." Elena smirked, showing the PSAT card to Alex, who rolled his eyes

"Elena, stop reading in the car, you know it makes you nauseous." Penelope said, as another car honked at her, "Oh, please, sir, just go ahead. Oh, I'm on the shoulder."

"This sucks. Why didn't we just fly to San Diego?" Alex asked

"Your Abuelita refuses to fly." Penelope sighed, glancing over at the older woman

"Planes are the trash of the sky." Lydia snapped

"And giant death traps." I added, deathly afraid of planes

"Mami, I don't feel so good." Elena groaned, making Lydia giggle, making her turn to Penelope for help, "Mami, it's not funny."

"I know, but when Elena throws up she makes the funny sound. Like a sad foghorn." Lydia defended, when Penelope glared at her to stop
