●huge time skip, 13 years●

I was in the kitchen making breakfast.
"Morning Mom." Annalea said.

"Morning, ready for school?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm ready." Annalea said.
"Alright, have some breakfast before your Dad takes you." I said

"I thought you were taking her." Winn said confused.
"Sorry, Alex called me into work." I told him.
"Okay." Winn said.

After Annalea had finished her breakfast Winn grabbed his car keys, and Annalea grabbed her backpack and he took her to school

"Hey, so why'd you call me in?" I asked Alex.
"Needed some extra help on an alien case we're working on." Alex told me.
"Oh, okay." I said sitting down in front of my laptop.

Annalea's POV

It is currently lunch break and I'm sitting with my friend Samantha. Except, I think I like her. Like, not in a normal way.

"You okay?" Samantha asked me.
"What, yeah Sam, I'm fine." I said.
"Are you sure? If you wanna talk..." Samantha said.
"Yeah, im sure." I told her.

Reader's POV

I was still at the DEO when I heard someone come up behind me.
"Shit!" I yelled.
"You okay?" Kara asked.
"Yeah, sorry, just a bit on edge today. Lea was acting a bit strange this morning." I told her.

"Well, I mean, she is a teenager now." Kara said.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I just hope she is okay." I said.

"I'm sure she is. Just talk to her." Kara suggested.
"Yeah, good idea." I said.

•7 hours later.•

"Dinner is ready Lea!" I yelled down the hall.
"Okay Mom!" Annalea yelled back, coming out of her room.

She washed her hands and then sat down at the table.
"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Mom, can I tell you something?" Annalea asked.
"Of course." I said
"Promise you wont be mad?" She asked me.

I looked at her worried and nodded my head.
"Of course I wont be mad. What is it?" I asked

"I like... girls." She told me looking down.
"Okay." I said plainly.
"Your not mad?" She asked me suprised.
"Honey, your Aunt Alex does too. Why would I be mad? I love you for you. No matter what. Okay?" I told her.
"Okay. Thanks mom." She said.

"Yeah." I said smiling, dishing up food then sitting down.

After finishing dinner we sat down and watched a couple of movies until Annalea had to go to bed.
"Night Mom, love you." Annalea said.
"Night, sweetheart. Love you too." I said turning off the TV.

"I'm ready for bed too. How about you?" Winn said.
"Yeah. I am." I said getting up and heading to bed, Winn following behind me.
