"Pratap? Where were you? Go, get freshened. Aren't you hungry?" Savitri asked Pratap as he entered the mansion. His gray eyes were searching for something. " Where is Aditya?" He asked as Savitri looked at him with concern, "can you guys please not have any fights this year? I am done seeing both of you fighting" she said.
Pratap smirked, "this year it is different Pishi. I seem to be in a good mood for the first time. I will not fight. Trust me." He bit his lip and smiled looking over the window.

"And I never felt like fighting" said another known voice from behind him. "Woh, how is Pishi's boy doing nowadays?" Asked Pratap turning around to face Aditya but his eyes fell on something way too surprising for him to take in.

A serene beauty, a night like dark bundle of curls, a huge pair of husky eyes that displayed utter awe on seeing him, standing right behind his brother, Aditya. Now his eyes snapped back to the kurta Aditya was wearing. To his discomfort it was the same kurta the man was wearing who kissed her forehead.

She was smiling at Aditya? The tears were for him. For some reasons he couldn't stand the thought any longer.
"Send my food upstairs Pishi, I am not feeling well." He said coldly, turned around and left.

"My goodness! He looks totally like you. I knew you both were twins but taking that in was a total different thing, okay? If it was not for his gray eyes anyone could have got confused between you two. My God!" Ambika was still trying hard to accept what she had just witnessed. "Fine, now Ambika, get inside your room immediately before your father gets to know that somehow you got to see any of them." Savitri said interrupting them. "But it is not her fault Pishi, they were supposed to arrive in the evening " said Aditya, he was visibly irritated. "I know that Adi, but I am concerned about her, you know how strict her father is. Let her go inside."

Ambika smiled at Savitri and turned her face to look at Aditya. "I will be on the terrace with dada at night. And you know what? You are welcome to join us" she whispered and smiled at him gently. He was angry, but he didn't want her to see that. "It would be my pleasure." He said as he saw her walking towards the back of the house, where they used to live.

Back to the contemporary...

"You can go inside and meet the kids if you want. There is still time for you to leave for the hospital." Pratima ji could see that she was nervous but she also knew meeting the kids might do some good to her mood. She was sitting at the dinning table alone, eating her bread. Dev was nowhere to be seen. After what happened back at night she felt a little relieved not to see him around. She nodded her head in response to Pratima ji's suggestion.

Mountain Rainbow was filled with life. The tiny ones won't stop shouting but she was looking for an obvious someone and when she finally found him someone called her with her name from behind. "Triss.." She turned around to see Pihu coming towards her. "Hey, how are you? I heard about your aunt from Pratima ji. Don't worry she will be fine." Triss nodded her head and gave her a small smile. "I so wanted to start taking classes from today but as it seems my fate always betrays me." Triss looked down at the floor. Her heart was aching. It was hard for her to talk about the situation to anyone right now. "Don't worry you have to start taking classes soon. Trust me. Everything will be okay" Pihu said with her usual comforting smile. "Can I please meet Nilu for once?" She asked. "Ofcourse and the best part is they have my class now. Come on in."

She entered the class and what surprised her was a tiny piece of life looking at her with a pair of eyes full of hope. She said "good morning" to everyone and started walking towards the particular bench beside the window. "Hi Nilu, how are you doing today?" She smiled and asked, crossing her fingers behind her back. She was not sure whether he was ready to accept her calling him with that name. "H-hello.." the small voice uttered. "You know I will not take my classes today. My aunt is not well. I have to be with her. But I came here to see you and to tell you that I missed you." Now the tiny man looked up at her. He was surprised but probably happy at the same time. "I-I missed you too." And that one response was enough to make her day. She gave him a big smile. "Would you like to play with me tonight?" Triss asked him. "How? I will leave after sometime." He said with a concerned face. "That's a surprise. See you soon Nilu." She winked, waved her hand towards him and started walking out of the classroom.

The whole ride with Dev from Nagpati Mansion to the hospital was one of the most awkward rides one could have ever had. None of them uttered a single word, not even a small "good morning", to each other. The car stopped in front of the parking area. Triss immediately got out of the car and started taking long breaths as if to relax herself. Finally Dev said "let's go" and they both started walking without looking at each other.

Arjun was coming towards them. Although he was smiling but he failed to hide the frown. "Hey Triss, all good?" Triss nodded and looked at his neck. "Does it hurt? Are you fine now?" Arjun could sense her worry as he immediately responded, "I am as good as I was. Trust me." She blinked her eyes and said, "that's a relief. Now can I see her, see my aunt for once?" She pleaded. "Ofcourse, but she is still asleep. See her from a distance okay?" Arjun said as she responded "okay" and ran towards the cabin her aunt was admitted in.

"See, her lower body parts were already affected but it seems her upper body parts are taking the same route. She seems unable to move those too. But we would still try to run a few tests just to be assured if it yet has the chance of spreading any further." Arjun informed Dev. Something told him that this man was already taking few of the responsibilities willingly and he could trust him. "This will be too much for her to take in Dr. Hembram . She has already seen a lot. She wants her aunt back as healthy as she was. I don't know how you will do that but do something!" The thought of seeing Triss heartbroken again was enough to make him go crazy.
"You need to understand it Mr. Nagpati, Paralysis practically has no cure. But the cause of Mrs. Bhutiya's sudden paralysis seems to be the stroke she had that night. In few of the similar cases the patient sometimes recovers automatically but that can never be guaranteed. We would still try our best." Arjun's helplessness was evident but he knew it was out of his hands. "If you can't do this I'll better take her to a capable doctor. Trusting you seems to be my mistake Dr. Hem.." but before Dev could finish Triss's voice vibrated through the empty corridor, "h-her upper body parts got p-paralyzed too?" Dev's heart stopped beating anymore. He couldn't gather the courage to turn around and face her. This can't be happening!

A/N: Hi guys. I thought of sharing the picture attached above to give you all a fragment of my imaginations. This matches a lot with my imaginary Nagpati Mansion.♥️
