I toss my phone down and turn to the FaceTime chat with Sarah and her NEW BOYFRIEND, Josh. It's official.

"K. That's done," I say. "Can we not talk about him anymore, please."

Josh nods and says, "thank you. I know he'd never ask, but it would eat at him." He gives me a sad smile and gets up to give us privacy.

"I'm happy for you two, by the way," I say, and Sarah smiles.

"It's early. Nothing set in stone, but I like him. He's nice," she says with a giggle.

"What'd Jamie think?" I ask.

"She and Trevor don't know yet. I don't talk to him much anyway, but you know he can't keep a secret from her," she says and looks a little sad. "I miss her. I miss all of us." I can see she wants to talk about the football-playing elephant in the room, but she doesn't. "What's your plan for today?"

"I'm going to a party at Brandon's. Some of the football players and tennis guys will be there too. It should be fun. Should be a big thing," I say.

"Nice. Don't drink too much. Any party that has a football player will have something," she says and then looks over her laptop. "Hey, TK. I'm sorry I have to run. Be safe ok." The call ends as I'm saying goodbye.

Jamie and Trevor are at the Boulder game right now. Josh's probably watching Ryan play, so he pulled Sarah into that. I hate to say it, but I hope Ryan wins. I would never wish him Ill will, but damn, this month has been hard. I don't even know how to tell him my feelings because he answers me days later, and then it's a moot point.

Today I want to drink, but I shouldn't. I don't often drink, Or really ever. I did shots at a party last year with Jamie and Ryan, but that's really it. Trevor was my non-drinking protector cause he gets sleepy when he does drink.  He's the first to play DD, and I have someone to hang out with when the others go overboard.

I head upstairs and see my parents watching the Virginia Tech at Ohio State game, and I make a face.

"I'm heading to Brandon's. I'll be back by 10??????" I say, landing on a question to confirm.

"Is your homework done?" Asks Dad. I nod. "Ok, 11 Just this once. It's a long weekend."

"Will his parents be there?" Asks Mom.

"Yup," I kind of lie. His stepmom will be there at some point, but they're getting divorced.

"Ok. Be safe," he says. "You sure you don't want to watch Ryan play? He looks good."

"After this last month, I think I'd rather eat glass Dad, but thanks," I say quickly and head to the door.

"TK! come back," mom shouts from the kitchen, looking concerned. "What happened between you two? I thought you guys had a whole thing planned."

"Yup, to be friends and text and talk like normal, then he dropped off the face of the earth," I snap. "I'm not a fan of him right now."

That last part comes out with a shutter.

"I'm going to leave now before I cry some more Because honestly, I don't think I can handle much more of that," I say and leave.

I know my parents are concerned, but I can't talk about it right now. Nothing can be done about it.

Once I'm in my car, I pull out my phone and text Jamie and Trevor.

PB&Jamie plus TK chat

Me- good luck today Trevor. I know you won't see this until after the game, but I really miss you guys.
