Varian sang to himself.

"Happy birthday, dear Rapunzel..."
He put pieces of a robot he called 'an automaton' into decorative boxes.

"Happy birthday to you..."
Varian laughed as he finished singing.

Varian walked out, holding the presents and a music box.

"Today is the day I free my father.
I'll be back soon!"
He said as the door closed shut.

I looked at the ground. What is he going to do...?
I wish I could stop him...

I zoned out so much that I almost got a heart attack when he got back.

Hopefully this is the last wrongdoing he'll do...
But then, he continued working.

"What are you doing, Varian? Haven't you done enough harm?"
I ask.

"Nah, that and what I'm working on is just the distruction. I want them to think I'm done for today, but then I'll do the final distruction.
I need a valuable playing card if I want them to be exactly where I want them to be."
Varian smiled.

"And what's that going to be?"

"The queen."

It was night time.
Varian grabbed Ruddiger.
"Are you ready?"
He asked the scared raccoon.

Varian put on his costume and left.

Not long after, he returned.

"Y-Your majesty..."
I gasp.
How could he.

The queen looked at me, worried.

"OH MY GOSH- WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER?!"
Both of us shouted at him.

"Woah, woah, ladies, calm down. Everything is going exactly as planned."
Varian laughed.

"Very calming."
I say coldly.

Varian looked at me and sighed.
Then he turned to the queen.
"Don't worry, your majesty, You are just the bait to lure the princess here.

Only the magic of her unbreakable hair could shutter the ember and free my father.

I tried asking for help, but I was denied by EVERYONE in Corona.
So unfortunately, I had to get you."
Varian said as he tagged at a cloth.

After Quirin was encased, Varian covered the ember because it hurt both of us to look at it.

But now, after everything I've been through, I became numb to the pain of seeing the loss of a loved one.

But the queen was startled.
"And what will happen after you free your father?"
She asked.

"Oh, after?
I'm afraid Corona will PAY for turning their backs at me. And that's where you should start worrying."

Frankly I would have preferred if we met over different circumstances."

The queen nodded.
"Me too..."

I look at Varian.
"Oh look, this is his face when he calculates every possible outcome."
